Interesting Kickstarter Catch-All

Dungeon World pen and paper rpg: http://kck.st/Lhgv3E

It's an old school style hack of Apocalypse World. It is also a lot of fun. Recommended!

So tempting, yet so expensive (especially for us "rest of the world" types). And I think I would end up paying extra for the Imperial Land Grant.

Yeah, $100 for a preorder book is just a lot of coin, compared to, say, $100 for OGRE. I know it's a BIG BOOK but still ...

After a bit of research on the web, it sounds like the game might not be the greatest inheritor of the Traveller title, either. I can't find a whole lot of reliable info about the beta, but it certainly sounds like many people didn't like the way it went.

It's hit its funding level already, but this looks freaking great! If you ever played Puzzle Pirates, and did the Combat Navigation, this game looks a lot like that.

Nomsters is 8 hours away from failing. iOS and Android game that looks like some sort of pinball/Peggle/Breakout/Angry Birds thing. Might interest some peeps.

Backed, looks like a nice casual game.

As some of you may be aware, this project has recently been subject to a coordinated online harassment effort waged by various online video game forums vowing to "take me down". I always expect a certain level of harassment when discussing gender issue online. This time however, it's a more organized and sustained effort than I've experienced before.

The intimidation and harassment effort has included a torrent of misogyny and hate speech on my YouTube video, repeated vandalizing of the Wikipedia page about me, organized efforts to flag my YouTube videos as "terrorism", as well as many threatening messages sent through Twitter, Facebook, Kickstarter, email and my own website. These messages and comments have included everything from the typical sandwich and kitchen "jokes" to threats of violence, death, sexual assault and rape. All that plus an organized attempt to report this project to Kickstarter and get it banned or defunded. Thankfully, Kickstarter has been incredibly supportive in helping me deal with the harassment on their service.

I don't like this world.

I bet there are a fair number of federal crimes that should be reported based on that quote.
Or, you know, there's always some grey hats that'd help fix at least some of it.

Backed. 4chan can blow me.

I've got a dollar that says "f*ck those guys". Like, literally. I'll even write it on my credit card statement. Backed.

Backed.

It's already 500+% backed, but ... sure.

Back it last night, before I saw the update. Ugh.

I'm in.

First I've heard of this and backing this like there's no tomorrow. Stupid trolls.

She's added a lot of extra stuff since all the extra money has come in!

Clang! A Swordfighting Game, from Neil Stephenson.

Stick around for the cameo near the end.

Fun little video. Put that as a reminder so I can watch how things go.

You know what? This thread is bad for my pocketbook.

One of the best, easily. I wish them the best, but after the disappointment of playing Skyward Sword, I'll remain extremely skeptical on precise movement games.

I'm honestly interested in seeing it but I think $25 is too high. Clearly I'm in the minority, considering the $ the project has pulled in.

While this is clearly a goof, I do hope they make their goal so that it actually happens: http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/...

You'll get to see it, it'll be freely available on YouTube. You just won't get to see the elite high resolution download version unless you back it. Check out her earlier work in the Tropes vs. Women series from last year:

Is it just me, or has someone Kickstarted a tricorder?

Sensordrone

Another tabletop rpg that looks good: Durance

It's about power and rebellion and survival on a prison planet, by the people who made Fiasco. I haven't played the beta version, but I've seen a lot of positive discussion about it.

Also, this.

Playsurface. Pay close attention to the Map Tools video.
