Just had a big donor step up - we're only $1,600 shy of the goal now - this is turning into a nailbiter!

Looks like you made it by the skin of your teeth. Congrats. I look forward to hearing about being on the other side of Kickstarter.

Congrats Tangle!

Thanks all! We had a couple of big donors step up in the last two days (the last one within the last 25 minutes of the KS!)

It's actually our second successful Kickstarter, so I'm practically a grizzled veteran at this point.

DO YOU LIKE TITS?
DO YOU LIKE UPSKIRT SHOTS?
DO YOU LIKE ZOMBIES?

Then I guess this would be for you: http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/...

I guess Kickstarter is thankful it doesn't feature tentacles. Are they trying to cash in on High School of the Dead. Which, bee tee dubs was well regarded on Netflix (for our family account) which blows my mind considering it looks to be pretty heavy on the pedophillic-dream-of-japanese-school-girls-in-uniform scale.

Looks like you found a new candidate for http://boobsdontworkthatway.tumblr.com

Amanda f*cking Palmer has a Kickstarter you should know about. Neil Gaiman thinks you should, too.

I have to credit her with exposing my daughter to just how much cool and artistic beng a musician can be.

I thought this stop motion film, Mad God, looked interesting. It's being lead by Phil Tippett. He was the Starwars stop motion effects guy:

I said this to my friend the other day, but she's at $1 mil and I don't think she needs anymore promotion. Find some other music acts and promote them as they need your money ever more.

That's just my take.

Yes! Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes! This looks so weird. I'm all over this.

I can't say you are wrong.

I backed this one today - miniature boombox for external iPod nano speakers.

Oh, and I meant for other people to find other music acts and plug em, not just you, Jay. Not that I thought you thought this was a personal attack, but I figured I should clarify that because I want MOAR GOOD MUSIC posted.

Last day to back Road to Enlightenment, if anyone wants to snag a copy with a bunch of extras.

A guy I know is doing D&D poster maps. Looks pretty nice, though I haven't played much D&D.

ARC: A Region Charted RPG Map Pack

How are you guys finding these cool things? The site doesn't seem to have RSS feeds and is a PITA to navigate.

Bring back Tom vs. Bruce

10 new articles, complete freedom. Should be fun.

I'm out of work.

That's awesome. Too bad I don't play pnp anymore ...

They last for 30 days so every week or two I just go check the two categories I care about (Design -> Product and Tech -> Hardware) and browse through the first 100 projects or so.

The kickstarter is interesting not just for the movie, but because they teach you how they make the movie.

More tabletop gaming nostalgia: Traveller 5th edition. Marc Miller has been talking about/promising this game for years, and it looks like it'll actually happen.

Dammit. So many projects I want to support! But there's zero chance I'd be able to find people to play with, so I'll be strong.

I had more fun reading those early Traveller books than many actual SF novels, so even though I never actually played that system, I'm in for another version of the book.

Simple.tv. This is what I was hoping my Google TV could do in addition to all the functionality it currently does.ently does.

Gaah! A Kickstarter finally got me!

I have been playing Traveller for literally 35 years. I still have my original LBBs. I have my complete run of JTAS. I have every edition ever published (including T20). My lone Dragon magazine publication credit is a Traveller article.

Hell, I still spell traveller "traveller", even though every spell check I have insists it is wrong.

Sigh. How ridiculous of a level can I jump in at.

But it's only a collection called "High Society" I think- dunno, finding the description a bit impenetrable to read/skim. There's another part where he mentions converting the rest of it for some sort of weekly content, dunno- not quite clear enough for me. I've never read CEREBUS but been interested in checking it out for a decade+ at least.

Also, cool Cthulhu tiki mug: http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/...

Imho it's insane for them to be making it into an audio book as well as digital scan. Who wants that? Just scan everything, it will hardly cost anything and that's what people actually want!

So tempting, yet so expensive (especially for us "rest of the world" types). And I think I would end up paying extra for the Imperial Land Grant.
