Post a picture of your pet!

I think her breed is officially "mutt". She's a rescue and even they weren't sure. Best guess is some beagle/hound mix but there's some other stuff in there too. She's a happy girl though.

Got a bunch of great pics of Saru napping in the sunlight a week or two ago:

Today she had to do a bit more work to get in the sunbeam:

And then Haku, well... He found a different way to get in the sunlight:

The apple of my eye, our Ronja. She's a Welsh Corgi Pembroke. This is her at three months, in late June 2011.

That's a good looking pup. What's the breed(s)?

Roxie bears a remarkable resemblance to Good Dog Greg.

Aww, so adorable.

whenever you breed something with a corgi it's like you're injecting it with pure cuteness DNA.

Is he one of the X-Men?

I already posted this in the photography thread, but I recently performed surgery on my camera flash and Jimmy was kind enough to help me test it out afterward.

Is that a harness for the seatbelt? Awesome, if so. I haven't seen one of those before.

Yeah it is. Seemed kind of silly at first (you never see them) but, really, why wouldn't we want to protect him? Accidents happen.

That yellow blanket was to protect him from the constant hours of sun directly on him, I guess this was during a break from that.

Having seen what happens to dogs in auto accidents (and can happen to the people sitting with the dog), seatbelt harnesses for dogs sound like a very, very good idea.

I live in the UK, but despite that, this is my dog, Texas. He is well into old age, but looks like a puppy. He was born on July 4th, hence his name. He is awesome and I love him to pieces, and he happily still lives with my folks.

Ugh, I'd rather not actually know.

How long does his battery last after you unplug him?

He's asleep most of the time, so I'd say you're looking at an iPhone dog, here.

Then back to cat grassing.

Another picture of our Corgi, Ronja, who got the princess treatment every once in a while when she was a pup:

OMG, my tuxedo cat does that same pose. It's why we call her the Venus Flycat. It is a trap. That tummy...must rub that tummy....can't resist, even when you know it's certain doom...

Kitteh!

This cat is technically Duckilama's cat, but she's my baby. She's about 13, and last week I thought she was going to die. She's pulled through so far, but I spent about 4 days as a big soggy mess, because I was so worried about her.

The Tuxedo below is *my* cat. She was theoretically Boy's cat, but she's kinda 35 pounds of pure evil...or so everyone else claims. I think she's a squishy baby who wouldn't hurt anything; as long as it didn't breathe, move, or look at her funny.

That's the exact post one of my dogs adopts... I didn't know cat's were keen to lie on the backs (except mid-scratch).
