JO Tonight? Please please please....

I''m out momentarily, but I''ll be back, if just for the chance to kill Certis one more time.

I should be in within an hour.

For the love of god, someone join in and save us from Tenchid!

*Update* The server died so we''re shopping around for a new one.

Nothing can save you from my chaotic neutral armament.

The server went down because Reaper doesn''t eat his greens, it''s back up now.

Man, I gotta get this game...

All was fine for me until we went to the East Coast server, then that f''kin ""Enummerating Session"" error. Goddamn the man who though ""NovasWorld"" was a good idea. Goddamn him to hell.

Novaworld is fairly cruddy, but one real nice thing is the search by player. Man, does that make for a significantly easier time hooking up with people instead of the BF ""what server are you on?"" ""I can''t find one by that name"" ""was that with brackets or without?"" dialogue.

The server went down because you touch yourself!

That was some great king of the hill action! It was awesome having the whole crew on one team. We really whupped up on people then! Also, mad props go out to Truck. Without Truck, none of our success would be possible!

Yet another great night on JO. The teamspeak combined with the teamwork really bring the fun for me at least ,to another level when we play.

Truck + My RPG = Dead Reaper

Yeah on that one island map, I just flew around scouting in the chopper, but even that was still fun.:) Even though I need to be getting my house ready to sell, I wanna play again tonight.:(

Then its settled, another round of JO tonight.

Hmm, I''m in class until 9, but I should be able to join after that. Not likely to get any studying done that late.

I''ll look you guys up on Xfire.

You guys are going to burn out too quickly if you keep this up!

Truth be told, I am feeling a little burnt out with JO, but it keeps pulling me back in.

Some games this is true, but there are sometimes rare games that come out that I can play night after night without becoming burnt out. TeamSpeak definitely helps in JO and I don''t have to play it, I''m up for other games too.

I think the best thing about JO is that tactics actually work.

Yes. Alot of gamers are getting savvy to the tactics, not just zerging around.

I was playing on AGE the other night (you and tenchid we on a full server), and my team mounted a pasable defense against the AGE crew-no TS-just ingame chat and good tactics.

But teammates have to be willing to put their own scores aside and actually work as a team.

Rare, but when it happens, its a beautiful thing.

When I play as a medic, I enjoy trying to pick my way over to a fallen comrade and heal him, shooting be damned. A unique experience in a shooter. You are right about that element setting this game apart. Last night at one as I was kneeling over a soldier throwing my aid pack down on him, Zed ran up from behind and in clear violation of all rules and laws of land warfare, put one in m brain pan and then executed the patient. I need to get a uniform with a big red cross instead of that black hockey helmet!

I find that the medic is one of the most rewarding classes. It can completely turn the tide of the battle.

Last night on the map where there is actually a bunker on top of a mountain, I was an engineer laying claymores. All of the medics died and we were down to like 2 people in the zone; I switch back to medic and heal the two downed medics and we are quickly back up to 6-8 players in the zone.

I started feeling sorry for the other team after we started dominating. Coordinated teams on TS kick ass.

Yeah even on the one map when we were on the team with way more players, once we switch they still had more players yet we still stomped them.:D

I dunno, I don''t have much success as either a medic or a rifleman.

Sniper is my class of choice, unless I''m not too sharp that day (hey, it happens), or the game is close combat (Arms Market) and then its Gunner.

Yeah that was great especially after they had called the other team stupid and lamers. Then we switched teams and kicked their butts.

I thought it was cool how Zedian marked the position of the snipers in the commander view, and it showed up in the first person view. We need to set up a squad ASAP from now on - having the GWJ guys show up in a different color helps you avoid getting in vehicles driven by {ableist slur}s.

Roger that, we need to take better advantage of the fire teams. Can anyone on the team set waypoints? I know the commander can, like zedian did last night with the sniper location, but did anyone else try to? I didn''t think about it till today.

Playing with you guys on TS any game is fun, but nothing has the abilty to coordinate attacks and defense like I''ve seen in JO. When Zed setup the fireteam and labled where the sniper was on the 3d map, that was sweet. We are only going to get better at the tactics. Now if Zed can fly the scout chopper and run the commanders screen , we''ll be even more unstoppable.

Edit: I''m to slow posting when little Slick is climbing on me at the same time.

Yes I definitely think marking the PSP''s, the hill, and perhaps the enemy spawn would all be good waypoints to set.

Another thing that made it so fun was that we had tons of medics, so we were able to hold points for a long time, and if we died, we all were able to jump in the same vehicle at the spawn. Should we start always respawning at the default spawn and pushing vehicles to the front?

I think it really depends on how close the psp''s, if any, are to the hill. I think that is one of the best things about not having any PSP''s and only the hill. Everyone stays focused on capping the hill and everyone is always going to the same spot.

So if you guys are wanting to play tonight, do we want to maybe ask Certis if he''ll run the server with TKOTH maps only? This way we can switch sides yet still have friendly fire. If not I guess we can play on Sheep''s World or whatever it was called again.
