Diablo III Catch-All 2.0

Has anybody had their sigils from the pre-release web banner creation app show up? I cannot find mine in my sigil inventory.

I also just got kicked out of game (right in the middle of a boss fight!), then was (a) unable to resume game due to error 316704, and (b) after logging out, was unable to log back in due to error 3003.

How are boss runs handled now?

I used to like killing all of the Act bosses in one go to see what uniques I could get. With the new system it doesn't look like I can do that.

This is... a single player game? Huh.

Looks like I signed off for the night at just the right time. Fun times going through Act 1 with a full group of four. As was noted, it's a solid, relaxing sort of experience thus far. I'm not totally sold on the Witch Doctor I'm playing. The look of the spells is great, but the pets feel too squishy, and when you're left with just the spells, I felt a bit like an underpowered Wizard. Though maybe I just had sucky gear - my damage did seem to ramp up a fair bit towards the end.

Yeah I need to mess around with the WitchDoctor some more. Zombie dogs seem kinda useless, but they're decent for crowd control I suppose. I've heard they scale with level and gear, so that could be the reason why they started to get squishy at the end of act 1. (So much hunter gear).

Once ability I kept forgetting to spam was soul harvest. The +intelligence buff really ups the damage output to insane amounts.

I don't think it is. Nowhere have I even seen a single player mode. Everything is just set up like it's a private game.

You can redo any content at will. Click the change quest button before hitting resume game.

But it warned me that if I do that I will lose all of the progress I made after that point.

Aww... bnet is down. Booted me just as I was getting near the end of the beta content.

They said those will show up after a week or so.

I think it means the progress you've made since achieving the last step in your current quest. At least I hope that's how it works.

Monk has been very fun to play. Is there a way to quick switch your mouse buttons to alternate skills? This would be ideal to change from crowd control to single target dps. The UI lets you do it fairly quickly but a toggle would be ideal.

Zombie Dogs are great if you use them as suicide bombs. Once Sacrifice gets it's first rune there is a huge slow down affect as well.

My only problem with the Witch Doctor is that his/her spells don't hit with any impact. Firebat with the tier 1 rune does a lot of damage and can take out a tightly packed group in one shot but there is little indication it is doing it.

Trick is now you gte a very nice buff if you kill so many champions before you get to the boss so its almost not worth it to do solo boss runs now.

How to tell when Battlenet is down... this thread post count accelerates to almost 10 a minute.

I hope so as well. So it would just reset your current quest back to the beginning when you choose do go back to it.

Ah ok, that explains it. I'll stick with my CE sigil until then.

I just liked doing it for fun. Wasn't much of a purpose. Mostly revenge.

It will forget your quest progress, and your waypoints. Basically, it will be as if that character were at an earlier point in the quest chain.

That buff only kicks in at the higher difficulties, though. Not sure if it keeps track of boss-kills separately from quest progress, though. I think it may. (i.e. no rares from repeat boss kills, at least in early difficulties.)

After going through all the logbooks form Act 1, I'm getting the urge to reinstall Diablo 1 just so I could kill Lazarus over and over again. Maybe I'm getting too involved with the story.

I'm not sure if they've retconned or elaborated on Diablo 1's events in this game. I do know that I'm amused it's taken them 16 years to do so.

(Also, I've not played D1 yet either. Should remedy that some day)

I'm really surprised at how bad this is going, to be honest.

It was fine for me yesterday after 1.5 hours of not getting on. Ran great with no hiccups. Log in this morning and most of my achievements are gone and the server goes down.

I'm really enjoying my lvl 14 Barbarian! The leap ability is fun every time. The server outage is telling me I should get some sleep before work tomorrow

Well, the good news is that Blizzard is usually pretty good about giving us some free game time when there are bad server issu....er, wait a minute.

Yeah, got kicked as well. I am trying out the witch doctor. Seems interesting, but I'm not too far yet. Was on the way to the cathedral.

I added everyone in the google doc. In case anyone is looking for it, it is here:

These BattleTags showed up as invalid when I tried them:

Dethroned#1780
Lothar#1531
Senkrad#?? (obviously)
sirjoekcb (obviously)

I fixed a couple that didn't have the # character. Thank god for fullscreen windowed mode. That would have taken forever without being able to copy/paste back and forth quickly.

Got it changed, mine is Lothars#1531

Dude. Friend list maximum. Servers down constantly. Progress not saved. Doing multiplayer messing up singleplayer. Love the game when I'm playing it, but there's lots of stuff around the edges to be annoyed at.

Robear wrote:

Okay, so I ran a bit in solo mode, then joined Staggerlee and Stwok's excellent game. But... Suppose I wanted to continue my single player campaign? How do I do that?

I tried logging in and changing the quest, but it told me I'd have to start a new game. Wha...? What is the proper course of action here? :-)

Re-asking this one for Robear and myself. Anyone know how to get back to where you were?

I'm having a blast so far. Just beat Act 1 with a group of goodjers (Tuffalo, Motleyai, and dfour(?)) and it was pretty sweet. Rolled a wiz and got to 12 then rolled a demon hunter and made it to 15. There's something awesome about throwing an endless amount of exploding bolo's at groups of mobs.

Now if blizz would fix their servers, I'd be playing more. I guess it's time for dinner!

Change quest and select the quest you were on. The quests are broken up into waypoints but only the major waypoints are saved when you log out of your game.

In a sense, the progress you made in the coop game is carried over to your solo game. (provided you got further in the coop game)

*sigh* I was hoping to make some progress with my wizard but it looks like that won't happen. Had a great time on my DH with Coldtouch though earlier this evening.

I'm glad I'm not the only one having issues with the Witch Doctor. It hasn't been fun playing co-op with a Barbarian of the same level that can kill something in 2 swipes that takes me about a bajillion jars of spiders. Before the servers went down this last time, I started a Barbarian, and hadn't used a single potion up through level 7.
