Not sure about this new look for her...

I don't mind, as long as she's still nuts.

Looks fine to me. Seems to be story associated with this dlc, excellent!

..and still voiced by Tara Strong.

Sweet. Looks like fun. I'm about half way through the main story at the moment and actually enjoying it a lot more now.

Payback's a Female Doggo

Yes, because after the whole debacle involving Catwoman, the convicts and the writing after the game's launch, the exact phrase that trailer which focused on Harley's ass quite a bit needed to use the word "Female Doggo" yet again.

Nonetheless, I'll grab the DLC.

Was there a word ban and Catwoman debacle I missed? I thought Catwoman was awesome all around.

I think it's more in reference to the whole flap about the abundance of the word "Female Doggo" in AC's henchmen dialog and all the crazy Catwoman butt-tracking shots in the cutscenes.

So bad guys that say 'Female Doggo' in a video game is offensive to some folks eh, I will have trouble finding common ground with that.

I for one appreciate and enjoy Catwoman in AC, please judge my character and morals accordingly!

Edit: I almost forgot we already had a similar discussion minus the Female Doggo part earlier. Carry on!

I didn't really have a problem with it either, especially since the butt-tracking was nowhere near as bad as, say, Miranda in Mass Effect. However, considering how much of a stink it made, it just seemed to be a poor choice of wording. In any other situation, sure, but...yeah.

It was less that it was offensive, more that it seemed a touch over the line for a Batman game. Keep in mind, Film Critic Hulk has already responded to whatever you have to say.

Sooo...Harley's Revenge. Who's playing? So far, I'm enjoying it, but I've put maybe 40 minutes into it, and I'm already at 30% completion. This may be a bit on the short side. Though it's good to be beating up thugs again (combat in this game is still amazing). And Robin in story mode is fun - bullet shield, where the hell were you the last two campaigns?

How much is it? I might have some PSN points floating around...

800 points on XBL, so I'd guess around $10.00 on PSN.

Eek yeah $10. And some reviews I'm finding say about 2 hours of game.

Maybe there will be a sale someday...

I knew I held on to those 800 points for a reason.

Hmm, it's not showing up on steam... is it delayed for PC or something?

Apparently there's a not-as-yet-specified early June release planned. So you'll have to wait just a little longer to go, "AC gets Tara Strong, DCUOL gets Arleen Sorkin? WTF, Batman?!"...again.

Hmm... I just logged into the market place and I can download it for PC there ... 1.43MB.... I think I'll wait and see what happens. Not like I've finished the main campaign anyway, so I really should just go back and play that anyway.

Good call. HQR has some pretty big plot spoilers if you haven't finished the main story already.

Yeah, unfortunately I pretty much know a big ending spoiler. I read it and was so damn annoyed as it wasn't spoilered and the guy wanted to be a jerk and tell people about it even though he knew they hadn't finished the game. But whatever, still enjoying the game.

$10 for 2 hours? Ehh...I'll pass unless I hear it's spectacular. I'll pick it up down the line whenever I get the urge to replay the story.

So I just tried the PC demo. There's a demo on Steam.

It's a little bit ridiculous how much better this game looks on PC. DX11 has performance issues, but even DX9-only is so much nicer looking than the 360 version.

It's really making me want to double dip, even though I've played through two times.

What sort of person plays multiple versions of Batman, Hyetal?

Kevin Conroy?

Just think how much nicer games could look if devs had more than 512mb RAM to work with as they shoot for the lowest common denominator.

I knew you would show! Just to be extra clear despite your cherry picking I am talking about platform specs, not devotees and it is very tough to argue that multiplatform PC games are not being hamstrung in development by the technical limitations of consoles.

It's hard for me to care about a platform that can only be profitable if they can sell games on consoles. You would think the Glorious PC Gaming Master Race could be self sufficient.

Okay, so what do you suggest could have been done differently with this game given greater headroom and isn't strictly about graphical limitations? That's not a trolly finger-in-the-sternum, either - I'm curious as to what you have in mind. Most of what seemed to be problematic with the game strikes me as being writing problems and the kitchen sink approach to the sidequests ("There's so much to do!"-->"There's still so much to do?! Eh, I don't care anymore."). It's pretty damned solid otherwise.

And yes, I'd love a good Batman game where you get to operate Bat-vehicles, but clearly, the setting/concept of AC doesn't suit that. What else could've been done here?
