If the legislators themselves made deals to guarantee votes for particular issues, I'm not sure there is a lot of outrage in me on this one. If it is just them not taking their jobs particularly seriously and letting folks play hungry hungry hippos with votes, I think that's as good a reason as any to get the hell out of Texas.

Like you need another reason.

Aren't their constituents tax dollars paying their representatives to be there and to vote? Seems to me taking public money to do a job, saying you are doing it even though you don't show up is called fraud.
