NHL 2012-2013: Tentative deal early Sunday January 6

So Radulov and Kostitsyn have been suspened by the Preds for undisclosed rule violations for game 3. When my wife told me they had been suspended my first question was "For what, sucking?"

The Kings are reminding me of Tom Coughlin's Giants Super Bowl teams, the ones that went 9-7 and squeaked into the playoffs, then peaked and were very physical.

LA definitely is peaking at the right time. They're pretty impressive at even strength for a team that could hardly buy a goal during the first 2/3rds of the season.

I have to say after watching almost all of the games this playoff season the only team that really strikes me as a team playing lights out are the Kings. Quick is wall and that Brown is such a smart player.

I actually hadn't paid attention to them at all during the regular season and only rooted for them to beat Vancouver, but I honestly think they are the best team atm.

I think the record says it all... 6 and 1 vs the 1 and 2 seeds in the West. Also only 1 win it OT.

Apparently it was for violating the curfew.

Yeah it sucks about Kostitsyn but Radulov has been invisable this series. I'm glad he's out, who ever they put in can't play any worse than he has.

Caps game is killing me. 2nd overtime. Let's go Caps

'Bout time he showed up. Hopefully this gets him going.

What an amazing game. I don't know how those guys do it. McDonagh, over 53 minutes of ice time.

And how Callahan wasn't a finalist for the Selke this year is beyond me.

Barry Trotz on Radulov and Kostitsyn, immediately after game 3:

Trotz[/url]]"I will never apologize for doing what we felt was right," Trotz said of the suspensions. "It's just a few minutes after the game and I can't give very many answers, but it's very hard to change [the lineup] if everybody is committed like they were. It was a statement. I think it's a privilege to play in the Stanley Cup Playoffs, to play for the Cup, and those guys took advantage of the privilege of playing. I think that's the sacred part of the playoffs. It will be very hard to change a whole lot from that group."

Good. Like I said Radulov may have been big sh*t in Russia, but so far he hasn't shown me anything but laziness.

The defense looked way better last night with the new lineup.

Why wasn't Tootoo playing before? He is a bulldog out there.

That may be part of the problem. When Tootoo is playing the other team tends to get a whole lot of power plays. I like Tootoo but he gets carried away sometimes.

Those beasts, as if NY didn't have enough close calls in the Ottawa series. At this point I'll die of a heart attack long before NY wins the cup.

It's about time I weighed in on this thread, as a Rangers and goalie fan of course!

Don't get your hopes up. He'll most likely injure his groin in the next game.

Did he try to break the glass on a fire extinguisher case?

The more I watch these playoffs, the more I think the Cup Finals will be East Coast vs. West Coast.

NY vs. LA

Lundqvist vs. Quick

Battle for the Cup

Battle for the Vezina

Winner takes all.

Yep. 4 Kings goals in the 1st period.

Oh, you meant the Blues.

Love the picks of the kings over the Blues after Game 1 is in the books!

KINGS IN 4!!!!

KINGS IN 4!!!!

2nd time ever Kings are up 3-0!

This is the best Kings team ever. I am stoked!

It's weird seeing such good goaltending on a Kings team. Especially out there wearing #32. Not what I'm used to...

Oh gawd... the Burger King uniforms. Those were hideous as was the team.

Bernier's not too bad either.

Took forever for the Kings to get a decent young goalie, and now they've got two. Couldn't we have spread that out a bit? Did I really have to sit through Potvin, Cechmanek, Garon, LaBarbera?

You guys had Rogie Vachon many a year ago.

This message is brought to you by the letters D.V.R.

Let's Go Caps!!!

Yea, good win for them. Now for Holtby to really lock things up.

In other news, I really think that Ovie should have gotten a game or two for the charge on Girardi. Head may not have been the principle point of contact, but leaving the ice is a big no-no.

Well, that was thoroughly depressing. But I am rooting for the Kings to take the Cup now. I don't feel like the Blues blew it as much as they just ran into a buzz saw.

I'll feel better if they got knocked out by the eventual champions.

Dustin Brown is a man possessed.
