Before I preorder this and given my fixation with Joint Ops and I havent even installed BFV - is anyone going to play this - it looks great and I love Star Wars...
I''ve got it pre-ordered. Played it at E3 and it was awesome! (Said this in a previous post, but getting a sniper rifle and shooting Ewoks is *fun*!) <evil grin>
I originally wasn''t much interested in it, but admittedly after reading the previews it holds a lot more interest to me. I, like sheared, won''t be pre-ordering it but if the initial reviews are favourable I''ll pick it up. I have to say the preview videos for Republic Commando look pretty cool too.
Got a good look at it at E3, and will probably be picking this up. It''s hard to say for certain, as JO and BF:V neither did much for me, so I hesitate to buy another game just like ''em.
I''ll wait and see how this one gets reviewed, and what people here think of it, but I might try this one. Sci-fi holds a lot more interest for me than Vietnam or WWII games.

My thoughts exactly. I''m not sure why, but I get very little enjoyment out of games that have me using ""real"" guns. I guess when I want escapism, I want lasers and really out of this world stuff. That doesn''t hold true in RTS games, just FPS''s.
Anyone remember reading that this game was actually in development before Battlefields came out, or am I dreaming that?
I love the Battlefield series and Joint Ops, so realism is pretty important to me. But this is Star Wars so of course I am interested. If done right this could be a huge time sink for me. Going to take the wait and see approach as well.
It''s already preordered. I''ll still play JO every chance I get. I have petitioned the government to add another hour and a half to each day. No response yet . . . .
Until recently I thought this was only for consoles and my answer was no, but now that I see it''s also for PC I might. I''ll wait to see what reviewers(especially you guys) say. If you guys rave about it, I''m sure I''ll cave - I''m such a sheep.
I''m adding nothing new to what folks have already said. I wasn''t that interested at first, but that''s changing. I''ll wait and see, but if it''s at all good and folks here get into it, I''ll get it.
I''m not going to pre-order it, but I will be purchasing it.
I''ll probably end up trying it, once my current strategy game fixation dies down. But Joint Ops is soooo much fun...

I''ll be getting it for the Xbox.
Thats the problem Robear - Joint Ops calls me - it says line up Certis and SwampYankee and give them .50 cal makeovers - it calls to me.

I''ll wait for some reviews, but unless it''s a total rehash (remember Galactic Battlegrounds? ) I''ll probably pick it up...

If there''s a demo I would give it a shot, but I have serious doubts that this game could compete with the depth and quality of Joint Ops.
After the novelty of fighting the Battle of Hoth wears off, it''s just another BF clone.

I might do it if the guys at www.mfots.com set up a tournament.

no particular interest, no particular talent

I don''t think I will be getting this one out of shear protest of the cancelation of Sam and Max.
