NFL 2012 Draft Thread

Wow, reach much Seahawks?

Not that Irvin can't play, but he might have been there in the third, let alone the 2nd.

Lol was that a Giants troll jumping in front of the Jets fans?

Wow. Really, Seattle? A situational pass rusher with the 15th overall pick?

I lol'd. Usually the Eagles do the incredible reach draft pick...

Not only is he too light for an every-down DE, but he's a walking rap sheet. The guy's last arrest was a month ago, the day after his Pro Day.

One of those guys Gene Smith wouldn't draft in any round. Thank god. I don't miss the "cocaine's a hell of a drug" Jaguars.

Tebow discussion! Win!

We need Seattle to draft for more teams, I need DeCastro or Reiff to last to 22.

Holy Crap, did the Jets just make a pick that makes sense? Without mortgaging their draft?

Coples? Does Rex miss Gholston?

Jets fans looked pissed.

The Bengals have to be a bit annoyed that Poe and Irvin are off the board. Athletic and lazy and athletic and felonious are where they generally aim.

I don't see where Coples lines up. Too heavy footed for a 3-4 OLB pass rusher. A 5-technique?

I see Coples playing on the line for the Jets' Big and strong, occasional pressure. They were horribly thin up front.

And the Raiders pick....oh....never mind.

Billick compared him to Gholston when he was picked. There's a good sign.

Radiers won't get a pick until 2020.

Do you spend a mid-1st round pick for that guy? You can get big lineman-occupying 3-4 DEs for cheaper than that.

And Cincy is back to drafting like Cincy.

If you think he will be a starter for you, then sure, why not in the first round? Especially if you are running the defense that the Jets run. They want guys who can play in differnet techniques and Coples can do that.

Somewhat surprised the Bears didn't go OL, but McClellin's girlfriend is hot so I can't blame them there.

Wow Chicago, you really just insist on getting Jay Cutler killed.

Reiff and DeCastro on the board and you reach for a linebacker.

And what happened with Chandler Jones? I thought he was supposed to be the top dog DE. No one seems to want him.

I reject your argument on the basis of Coples' stupid arm "brands". NO PICK.

He should have returned for his senior year and entered the 2013 draft with a healthy knee.

Thank you, I was wondering where this comment was. I figured sister, though.

Rumour has it the Bengals traded down as they heard I made my nickname SWAGGA and didn't want to reach taking me at 21.

Doh, Kendall Wright was my hope. Now I have to hope he's a total bust.

Kendall Wright goes higher than I expected. Reiff and DeCastro still available at #21.

That possibility crossed my mind, but I went with my first choice. You could be right!

I just about threw my chair at the wall when they passed up the chance to get some o-line help.

What is up with the picks coming in faster than they can show them on TV? Used to be the opposite. Find a happy medium. Or really, just speed up the damn presentation.
