Trials Evolution: whoaw

Oops, well I was close on the name I had a pretty decent marathon session so was pretty tired. Regarding the user made tracks, I don't think those medals count toward your totals for unlocking tracks ... At least not that I recall.

Oh my god, I downloaded the demo, and between the ludicrously silly opening rap, and the piano falling on me when I finished, I was sold.

Seriously, f*ck that world turn level.

I thought that was cool.

I don't like the slowed down Limbo level much, though.

You mean the Inception level? The one with the f*cked up gravity? Yeah, I like the idea of that but it sucks trying to drive in it.

This is amazing. The best part is that restarting a level is pretty much instantaneous. Push button, you restart. I got a lot of use out of that button last night and this morning.

Oh no... This exists. And I have so much to do. *sob*

My friends list is surprisingly lacking on Trials Evolution times to aim for, I sent a bunch of friend requests out based on this thread.

I enjoy the hell out of this game but much like Pinball FX and 2010's NFS Hot Pursuit without a lot of times to try to beat it won't keep me coming back.

I have gone through this thread and added a bunch of you to my friends list. Hopefully, you all suck worse than I do.

And, FWIW, I really like the music in the main loading screen to the game. Not sure if that makes me a bad person or not.

So much fun.

Is anybody else having trouble with The Ascent track? I just want to put the 360 controller through my face!

I have one track left to beat. igotnopants and skelly are amazing players. Watching their dots fly right by me really sucks though

I have "Down in the dumps" on the, uh, extreme level I think it was called. I don't know you guys get up the hill and over the round concrete thing. After 75 faults at that one checkpoint I decided I should take a break and get some stuff done around the house.

The skill games are amazingly fun and the fact that there's a boatload to download means I should be playing this for quite some time.

I am finding that sometimes a light touch on the throttle at the beginning of a run results in the pattern of jumps you take is completely different and allows for more aggressive handling later on.

My friends list is at capacity right now. If you send me an FR I'll get to it when I go through and cull some of the folks from my friends list.

Also, Local Multiplayer is a blast. I'm staying at a friends for the weekend and we have had some insanely close races. Turn the Bailout option on for awesome endings.

I don't remember the name but that sounds like the one track that I haven't been able to do yet (outside of the last tier which I haven't unlocked yet). Uphill bunny hops are probably the hardest thing in the game and that thing at the top is just too big.

I think I golded it, but I haven't gotten a perfect run. Think I had two restarts. My biggest problem is doing the last two climbs that are near vertical back to back (wood rap + dirt hill). I don't hit the dirt ramp flat enough or I over throttle it every time. The dirt section is cake once I'm that far.

I didn't get my 360 until after the first Trials was released, so I never really checked it out, but the GB Quicklook has totally sold me on this one. Looks like a blast.

I picked this up this morning. So good. You can friend up IUMogg if want another little white dot to leave in the dust.

Yes, one of those things in a game that bring me back to the Black Bastard in the original Ridge Racer on the PlayStation1.

I downloaded it and proceeded to play and medal each track. Some of the last tracks (the one's labelled Hard) are pretty ridiculous. But I did finish eventually, for a bronze. I think higher than that is going to take a supreme amount of luck.

Gigatrack is crazy long with nice flowing sections throughout, until you get to the parts that really need finesse. Be forewarned, that track will take 15 minutes or so to complete. It seems endless.

Do I understand correctly that even though the bikes are different, the time you post on the leaderboard is the best time on any bike? That seems kind of strange to me.

I was in the zone tonight apparently. I went through and killed a lot of my friend leaderboards. I've only got maybe 4 or 5 of you, but the ones I have I've beaten quite a few tracks Something to work for now!

I just unlocked Expert tonight. I really like the Way of the Ninja track. Super hard and very technical. I managed to pass it with 130 faults and 14 minutes or so. Haven't tried any of the others yet.

Feel free to add me, by the way. The more the merrier!

God damned uphill bunnyhop. I just can't get the timing.

You need to keep moving forward while you are doing the stick back/forth thing. I wasn't able to get it when I rolled slowly up to the obstacle then tried to get up, but going in with a little momentum I got it (after a few tries, naturally).

Some of the downloadable tracks are great especially if your looking for a more traditional bike trials experience. The file size must be really small because it literally takes a second to download a track. Also people are already doing some interesting stuff with the editor like Foosball tables and jet pack games.

I haven't even looked at those yet. Keep meaning to. It looks pretty easy to build cool stuff in the developer youtube tutorials.

I uploaded my first track last night.

Then I realized there was a mistake I left in it, so I took it down.

This morning when I went to fix it, the track was deleted from my local files. Entirely.

So uh, be careful if you try to take down tracks you've uploaded. I spent a lot of time on that for nothing

I tried the demo last night and I don't know why. Having played Trials HD, I should've just bought it sight-unseen. I played about 10 minutes of the demo, unlocked the full version and played until 4:30 this morning.

I really like the different environments, and the skills stuff is cool. Can't wait to try some of these downloadable tracks you guys are talking about.

Teach me not to suck at this.

I find myself chasing mannish on most of my runs. Must improve my times.

Is there a sawed-off motorcycle? Switch to that.
