Nice! I didn't make the connection but that is great!

If i had a riding lawn mower I wouldnt mind doing the mowing!
My yard is so small it would be done in a couple of passes though so I can't really complain.

That is what's called a return on your investment.

Exponential growth at its finest, with some depreciated return during the teen years.

Oh my gosh, they look so happy and wholesome! Adorable!

Lucas had another photo shoot in NJ today for more Babies R Us toys...

We have a request by Carters for Tuesday in the city. I am having fun, but the city scares me beyond belief for parking

See if they have designated client parking arrangements/areas?

I will call Monday., but the last time we went to the city a week ago (something different) there was no parking, it was right in the heart of the city.

I think about taking the train, but Lucas sleeps in the car on the way because we usually have to leave early..he wouldn't sleep on the train and would probably be a hot mess by the time we got to a shoot lol

I am just not experienced in driving in cities, or parking, which may be evidenced by my two trips to NJ and my two tickets lol

At least if you get a ticket this time you can try claiming it on your tax as a business expense

Good luck!

lol both of my tickets were while taking him to photo shoots....

Who knew you can't park where the curb is yellow. In CT, we have signs, not just ill faded sidewalks.

Oh, and if you accidentally (while blabbing with your mom) go to the EZ Pass lane, instead of the exact change lane, you then get a $50 ticket, and still have to pay the $1.50 toll.

I love seeing these pictures. Goodjers make beautiful babies.

I've been doing this on FaceBook for a while, but here's some of my Adventures in Parenting collection. I'd love to see some other GWJer's Adventures in Parenting collections.

Here we have a stash of Goldfish in a closed vent:

First few months of the Big Boy Bed was pretty rough. I woke up to baby powder EVERYWHERE at 2AM a few months ago:

There is something about naked baby pictures that I feel the need to just take more of them... It doesn't hurt that the little bugger is fighting off a yeast infection and the doc recommended we let him run around without pants/diaper.

This shirt doesn't fit anymore...

Awesomeshots!
I never thought to document my adventures in parenting! Why was that? Bananaelmo is great. Very cute nekkidbaby!

Can't go to bed! Something is wrong on the Internet!

My 8-year old son beat me in a game of Small World. His flying Amazons were dominant, and me stupidly taking merchant dwarves (only 5 tokens) late in the game sealed my doom.

Flying amazons are totally boss!

Maq, it looks like you have set him up with his own workstation in his high chair?

How else is the little tyke going to make $8,395 a day from their internet business?

MonoCheli wrote:

Yes. Yes they are. I remember you reaming us with those at PAX.

MonoCheli wrote:

Whenever I have him on my lap at my workstation he always loves scritching and pounding on the keyboard. Sometimes I'd open up a text document first, you know, just in case.

Once I figured out he wasn't channelling the wisdom of the whatever from high atop the thing, I hosed down an old wireless keyboard for him to belt away on.

That really is priceless! Brings back memories of using my own wireless keyboard to pacify the young 'un.

(While I was playing Civ IV, natch!)

My youngest fell on the trail hiking Saturday morning. He had a couple of little bruises on his knee and one little scratch because his jeans were threadbare. He played, ran jumped, wrestled with his older brother all day after. He saw the cut at bath time. He now has the best limp ever. Just missed getting a video of it. These are the kinds of thing I want to document, but e always miss it. Like when he had a morning tantrum demanding coffee. If I don't start running a video camera all the time, I'm passing over my "Charlie bit my finger income".

Anyone able to get these moments? Maybe the new camera QuickDraw on iOS will help.

My five year-old daughter, Ella, woke up at 3 a.m., Saturday morning throwing up. She was able to get more sleep but was lethargic and running a slight fever all day long. I was holding her on the couch when she asked, "Daddy, can I go to the birthday party today?" The party was for one of her best friends who lives across the street from us. She'd been looking forward to it for weeks. "Oh honey," I said, "I'm sorry but you're too sick." She let out a sob and then wailed, "YOU RUINED MY LIFE!"

I shared a look with my wife and started laughing — so hard that Ella was shaking. She looked at me with horror in her eyes — how could I laugh at her pain!?!?

Which only made laugh harder.

And here's Ella. Before I ruined her life.

Parp?

Poly (ADP-ribose) polymerase (PARP) is a family of proteins involved in a number of cellular processes involving mainly DNA repair and programmed cell death.

As much as I assume I'll be the "cool" parent, I also realize that I would respond to that not only with laughter, but also with, "Honey, I think you mean 'You have ruined my life.'"

I spent part of last week backing up old pictures to an online store. I came across this one from just before Jameson's first birthday:

And I couldn't resist the temptation to take one three years later to the day:
