NCAA12 GWJ2STAR -- Bowls: Leroy's Shame

I have no damn f*cking clue as to what the hell my team thinks they are doing...I can beat the razorbacks and the bulldogs in this league and all the other hard teams when I played as Marshall in the BCS league but not the rams or temple? WTF. Its like my guys dont even show up til its just a tad to late. It really really pisses me off. I know that both the rams and temple are human and both of you deserve plenty of credit for beating marshall but really...when my wr is wide the hell open and my qb just throws it out of bounds or wide one way or the other or when I call a fake field goal and the qb just wont throw when I am MASHING the hell out of the x button...its really stupid. I know my qb is just a freshman, but come on...hes a starter and should play like one. Plus, whats up with all the dropped ints that my corners have? And why wont it release my starting HB from medical? He was expected to be out 5 weeks and that was 8 weeks ago. The past three he's been "questionable". Sorry to vent but the past 4 weeks in each league have been incredibly frustrating. I think I know how Hoppa feels. I can empathize. Anyway....good game kush, you executed the plays when they needed to be had. Very well played game. Same to you Firesloth. You earned the win and it was well done. I dont play again until the bowl week. Good luck everyone.

I think we may be ready to roll. If we do so today I can get my game in before I leave on Sunday.

Zell, good game. Some thoughts on your rant. No, I did not take offense to it, I know you're ranting about your team, as you shouldn't take offense to some points I want to make about your rant.

1) Don't be so hard on your Freshman QB. Unless your QB is a 5-star prospect, he's going to suck at times. Yours is rated 73, if he's throwing perfect passes 100% of the time there's something wrong with the game. Your pass out of bounds where the WR was wide open, the receiver did catch it in stride, but he was running a corner route, so he was running towards the sideline. You probably shouldn't have put so much air under the pass, since he was wide the f*ck open. I really thought it was 1st and goal at the 1 inch line. And your QB didn't do that bad of a job. Your last two drives consisted of 3 plays. Two were long TDs, and the other was thrown and completed into double coverage.

2) On the fake FG, your holder had no time to throw the ball, no matter how uch you mashed the A button. If you got the pass off, it wasn't getting past the line of scrimmage. You need to be a little realistic on that one. Check out the replay, I saved it last night. Also, since you lost by 3, you should have probably kicked in that instance I did not take offense to the fak FG or fake punt. I actually expeced the fake punt, but I couldn't stop it.

3) I know you went to Marshall and all, but Marshall is still a 2-star school. There's no shame in losing to Temple and Colorado St, it would be a differet story if you were playing with LSU or Bama, they should beat the snot out of Temple and CSU. Hell, Temple came within 3 points of knocking off Boise St, so we were a tough beat this year In all honesty, no one should have rolled an undefeated season year 1. You should have games you lose that you were supposed to win, and vice versa, that's what actually happens in real life.

Nice I finally broke into the top 25

overrated

firesloth is the only game of the week. Maybe we can get a fast turn around.

How bad is Wyoming? When they finally scored a TD in the 4th quarter, my team blocked the extra point, recovered the ball, and ran it back for 2 points.

CSU defeats Wyoming 54-9. The second quarter really set up the win, with defensive TDs on back-to-back drives by Wyoming to go with two offensive TDs.

Willhouse – any chance we can play the conference championship game tomorrow if everyone gets in their recruiting? When would you be available?

Temple is done recruiting

Yeah I'm off this weekend so really anytime is good

WMU is ready

Marshall is done

One Leroy is done recruiting we should be ready to roll. I know Hoppa left in the other league not sure if he left this one as well.

Since me and Fire weren't able to get together and he us gone for a week I'm fine with simming our 2* game.

I'm fine with waiting

Waiting works for me as well.

Finally was able to get this game in. Western gets past CMU 42-21. Started off with a kick off return for a TD. I was able to take a 21 - 0 lead just a few seconds into the second quarter. Fire came back quickly though to make it 21-7. I kept waiting for my team to break down. CMU's offense was able to move the ball well at times just would get bad play here or there. I didn't upload any highlights since we do have 2 games to get in. But overall a good game now on to the bowl games. And now to face Fire's ND team. This game I worry about because BC has not been playing well.

Thanks for waiting for us everyone! We're ready to roll to bowl season!

CSU*

Rolled the league from the website. Give it a few to update.

So checking the bowl games online from my phone. The BCS doesn't work even in video games. It says I'm playing Troy who is 6-6. Firesloth draws Nevada who is 11-1 and ranked njmber 25. Zell gets LSU who is 8-2. I forget who Leroy got and Kush draws Louisville. How do I not get Nevada or another ranked team at least?

WTF! Marshall has to play LSU in a bowl game? Who in the friggin minds would ever set that up? Holy sh*t balls....thats just stupid...I am sure I will lose this one.

MIlitary Bowl Champs!!!

CMU holds on to beat Navy 45-34. It was back and forth all game but my running game was just way too much for them to handle. Paris Cotton broke out for his best game of the season, running for 250+ yards and 5TDs.

Armed Forces Bowl Champs! Marshall whips LSU 38-10

What in the world was I worried about? I dreaded going in to the game but scored on the opening drive with a 14yrd rush up the middle. Then a few drives later, I pin them deep with a punt that goes out of bounds at the one. With my Defense pumping on all cylinders I get a safety (trapped the HB). LSU was not to be intimidated though, and scored as time expired on a tipped pass to head to the locker room trailing 9-7.

Third Quarter LSU takes the kickoff and heads down the field almost at will. They make it to Marshall 8yrd line before the Herds D wakes back up and holds them to a FG. That was it for LSU. Marshalls Defense was unstoppable. They had 16 tackles for a loss, 8 sacks, 1 INT, 1FFMB (returned 10yrds for a TD), and 2 safeties. The Offense helped out by having great ball control and no turnovers. LSU did keep the air attack Marshall was famous for this season down, but Ward (out most of the season with an injury) came back with a vengeance this week to rush 28 times for 120yrds and 2Tds (LSU had 33rush attempts for 28yrds) . Freshman TE Frohnapfel was on fire, with a bunch of 3rd down receptions for new downs and one TD of his own.
Lastly DE Vinny Curry (my hero this season) was the player of the game. 6 solo tackles, 5 for loss/sack, caused one safety, returned a fumble for a TD.
His season total for sacks this season (new NCAA record 32) is crazy. Going to miss him next year.

Highlights are up

So now that I beat Miss St, Arkansas, and LSU...why did I have so much trouble against Temple, CMU, CSU? I cant explain it.

Superior coaching.....

Well that was easy to explain.

I was looking at the season totals for before this game...Marshall finished with 63 sacks this year...most in the NCAA. Temple was the next at 44(plus whatever you get in the bowl game).

Marshall also had the most offensive yards in the NCAA...7728 total yards before the bowl week. I find this to be fantastic. Sorry if I seem a little gloaty, I just am surprised is all.

I have to say that I had seen this guy was a sack monster before we played. I did a lot to run the other way and get quick passes out during that game!

Western beats Troy 33-10 to win the GoDaddy.com Bowl. Offense started slow but my defense started well getting a safety and a pick in the first quarter. My defense never really let Troy get in sync and outside the two scoring drives never made it past mid field.
