GWJ BCS League, Season II (360): BCS Bowl Week (League Deadline: 4/4/12 @ 11:59pm EST)

Hahahaha! Nice.

ND grabs a 5* ATH (WR or CB), and 4* QB in one week!

Not that you could see that at the website -- the recruiting pages are borked for me.

I noticed that too. When I rolled from the site, it told me it was rolling to Week 1. Weird. The old site works fine for recruiting, and I really don't even touch the recruiting on the new site until they fix the issues.

Michigan fends off a late comeback by Illinois and wins 28-18

TCU continues its complete turnaround from contender to cellar dweller. I like how Wesley can go from a Heisman-winning runner last season to being unable to do anything versus Purdue and Minnesota. I guess the blame for that should go on my O-line. They are totally useless this season.

Damnit. F*ck.

I've never thrown my controller before, but this game made me do it.

Winless BYU beats ND in OT. Asshole BYU QB becomes Steve Young. Mind warping BYU CB intercepts a game-winning TD pass with 0:15 to go. The ND defensive backs let a lone WR get to the sideline endzone line in OT and just ignore him. My QB just decided he was gonna throw off target today. On one screen pass I used the stick to throw to the outside of the HB, and he threw it WAY inside...right to a LB.

f*ck.

LEAGUE DEADLINE: Wednesday, February 22nd @ 11:59pm EST

Michigan (LeroyOG) at Illinois (XBox): Michigan wins 28-18
Notre Dame (firesloth) at BYU (XBox): BYU wins 34-27

Ouch...sorry for both of you. Sounds rough.

We're waiting on the guy, who's waiting to have his new big screen TV installed.

Not sure who (Shag) that would be, but (Shag) if I did know, I wouldn't (Shag) throw him under the Shag.

Errrr bus.

awesome

By the way, a heads up: I will be out of town from Feb. 25 - Mar. 1 (Saturday through Thursday night). I doubt it will have an effect this week, as I have a bye in week 10.

I'm off again from March 11 - 18. I bet we'll be able to work weeks 11 (Pitt) and 12 (TCU) around that time so as not to hold people up too much. Might mean one long week. After my experience with BYU, it might even be to my advantage to have things simmed.

Oh, and by the way -- you should all be jealous, as my trip starting Saturday is to go to Paris for several days...

OUCH. ND drops from #4 to #19 in the polls. I guess that'll happen when you lose to an winless team midway through the season.

FYI, league is rolled

Alright Willhouse. When do you want to do this?

Beat him Shag. Beat him so hard.

Wow. Four recruiting calls screwed up by the website. How awesome is that?

Shag we play next week. I actually just beat my team for this week as BC takes down Louisville in a very close game 28-21. Was very close all game was able to get an interception late and return it for a TD to go up 28-14. Louisville got a late TD because I was just trying to press and blitz on there last drive.

Guys...I need help. I can choose my tag now...what should it be?

Hoppa, a word of advice: Use the old site to recruit. I had a couple of issues recruiting on the new site, so I only recruit online using the old site, no bugs there!

I only use the new site to see if everyone is ready to roll, and even that isn't entirely accurate.

I agree. The new site is not very friendly when it comes to recruiting.

I was looking at the site and it doesn't show bye weeks on the schedule. That's why I thought I was playig you next. This si a good thing as I have an extra week of video to watch to prepare for the game.

I have done that multiple times.

LEAGUE DEADLINE: Saturday, February 25th @ 11:59pm EST

Week 10 League Schedule:

Georgia (Wi11Nick) at South Carolina (XBox): Georgia wins 34-17
BYU (XBox) at Michigan (LeroyOG)
Clemson (XBox) at Rutgers (Kush15)

West Virginia (ZellbrigeN26) at Connecticut (XBox)

BYE WEEK:
Notre Dame (firesloth)

Rutgers beats Clemson 27-10 to improve to (5-3). Clemson had a 4th and goal at the 2 yard line with about 4:30 to play, when Michael Larrow recorded his 4th sack of the game. Rutgers took control of the ball and ran out the remainder of the clock.

Rutgers faces West Virginia next week in a huge Big East showdown.

Good lord. I can see how you lost to BYU. They are stubborn as hell. Michigan wins 42-35.

Yeah...and you had fair warning!! I couldn't get enough stops on defense. They just seemed quick, and their QB played lights out for much of my game. They easily converted on a frickin 3rd-and-20 late in the 4th. WTF?

Okay, my blood pressure is riding just thinking back to that game. How the hell is their record 1-7??

BTW, interesting side note. The two QBs that faced off in my game against BYU are both (I believe) now playing for Kansas.

Wow, that leaves Hoppa and Zell as the lone two remaining, 24 hours into the sim week. Both Tenn and ND are done recruiting, we are at 6/8.

mine will be done tonight too, lol.

I thought that would be a closer game than what it was. They tried no huddle and it worked for the first quarter. Then tragedy struck and one of my corners came on a blitz and just about took the UCONN QB's head off. He was out the rest of the game with a concussion. The backup came in and was only able to convert 3 3rd downs. It wasnt a pretty picture. I am sad that I was able to run a kickoff back for a td, but it was called back to the 14yrd line for holding...Smith finally found his rhythm tonight. 19-33 530yrds 5tds 1int qb rating of 236.

Also had 3 different wrs get 4 catches a piece for over 150 yrds a piece...4 tds between them.

Good game...recruiting done...ready to roll.

And then, there was 1

Me again? Jeez. I'll try to get to it tonight, but I have other stuff planned. Might not get to it until Friday.
