We are planning the next guild raid night to be next Thursday night. we're gonna try a repeat of our 4/5 boss kills another another attempt or two at the 5th. Also possibly raid again next sunday evening. There's a whole nother normal raid too...Kraggas.

Brigham - pyro BH dps - is available this Thursday. What would the start time be?

Let's start at 8 EST

Decent chance I'll be able to do Thursday night.

It doesn't take much to get ready for a level 50 normal op. You just gotta hope you get lucky on drops while there.

I'm guessing the normal op 1st 4 bosses will start going very quickly very soon.

From everything i've read i wouldn't be surprised if we could do the first 3 at least on Hard already, some folks might have trouble on 4th.. I'm also reading that the auto assigned loot system is only for normal mode as a nod to folks pugging normal mode more than guilds doing organized raiding in normal mode. Interesting.

Fuz, that actually is a nice feature in my opinion, thought it would be nicer for all guild groups to be able to change that. Overall though it seemed like everyone got at least one piece of loot. I won't be on tonight, but if anyone is up for hardmodes tomorrow, let me know, i only need 15 more tionese crystals for a pants upgrade!

I will be on Thursday night for the Op.

As long as we don't get starting 5 pairs of T2 gauntlets on one guy while another is on his 2nd or 3rd raid and doesn't have a single pair for example....

But as i said, i think we won't be relying on normal ops for gear for long at all. Then it'll just be somethin to do with fresher level 50s while we orgaize hard raids for the guild runs.

we tried hard core with only 3 of us in 136+ gear and it didnt go well. You'll probably need the whole ops group in 136. Maybe able to slide with 1 or 2 below that mark.

We did manage to take down the first boss with only 7 people with 2 tries on normal mode, so either players were geared decent enough or the boss is too easy.

I'm out on weekdays before 8pm PST (11pm EST). Weekends work earlier, but that's way too early for me on weekdays.

It's just a stepping stone to the harder modes. Chunk of you guys are decently geared already so thats why you had an easy time. You can sneeze at the bosses on normal and they'll go down with good gear. Which seems funny now. When we first started we wiped so many times on the 2nd boss, but most of us were in gear that was under 126 and greens. Now we make sure we have a couple of us that are geared going and try to cycle in the new folks.

I'm not sure about Thursday night, any other times people are going to be around?

And the geared people still keep on getting stuff. I think Bean is building a healing set now on his vanguard.

The loot system is frustrating. I understand its there to protect pugs, but they need to inject some logic into who gets what. In the raid with myself (all 136) and 2 other troopers last night (neither had stepped foot in eternity vault before). I wind up leaving with a chest piece and an offhand that either of those folks could have put to much better use than me. I guess the positive side is that with so many drops coming off each boss, everyone should gear relatively quickly and head to hard mode where master looter functions.

I wonder what Bioware's rationale was when they implemented this system? Even in a pug, unless you have a ML, you can still roll on and win stuff. At least if they had some algorithm that gave the gear to the person with the lowest GS I could understand but I just don't get the "we'll decide who gets what" methodology.

I'll be up for ops tomorrow as well bringing some dps with my sorc.

Sorry for the late notice, but should you need an extra body tonight my sniper will be available.

(My gear is still not great, particularly in some of the auxiliary slots like implants, but I do have rating 124 armoring in all five of my moddable pieces and rating 124 mods in four of them. I'd have a 124 barrel in my gun but I haven't had time to quest on Illum, so sadly I'm currently running with a 116 there. As a result you should definitely only consider me should you be lacking better geared toons to fill the raid. )

I'm being laid low at work with a sinus headache; I'll have to see how computer friendly I am tonight when I get home.

I should be able to make it tonight. I'm in PST, so focused raiding at 8EST can sometimes prove to be a problem, but I'll do my best to make it happen. 80% i'll be there.

Sunday evening every weekend around 8pm est. Probable hard mode flashpoint before.

The during the week time may vary for op. Hard flashpoints can happen any given time....

Ill be on tonight but late for the ops I think. Usually at work till around 7:00 CST.

Plannin next operation for Sunday the 19th, 8pm EST.

The sunday thing is probably gonna become regular. Weekday time is up in the air...Thursday worked well thsi week but we can mix it up or whatever.

Sign up here...depending who/what we get we can try to complete the hard mode operation quest in EV or see what normal Kragga's Palace looks like.

I frequently see PUG groups form for normal EV runs on the weekends especially, so if you didn't get in today's normal EV run, you could definitely go with a PUG run if you know the fights.

For what happened wrong on SOA tonight, see this post: http://www.swtor.com/community/showt...

There appears to be a fix in for the newly created bug in 1.1.4 so hopefully next week he'll go down. We almost had him anyhow on that first Phase 3 shot cept missed the 2nd damn pyramid then i got nailed by the 4th one. If either had gone right we'da had the pucker i think.

Also, med and nat,

Operative
Medical Therapy: Kolto Probe and Recuperative nanotech will now properly benefit from this skill.

in 1.1.4....

The good news...some people got gear they could use to upgrade tonight...and we got the route to drop down between Soa phases down pat...so now it's just faceroll if they actually fix the bug without further breaking it next week.

Yah, I think we accomplished alot, between actually getting to phase two, and once that was down, learning the phase three fight. Fuzz, any info on killing the guy in the mind traps if it causes extra aggro or not?

I got Tionese pants and Columni boots and gloves, one more piece and I get the 4 piece bonus:)

Going to see Ghostrider tonight, but if anyone needs an extra dps for hard modes, let me know when I am on.

Killing the guy in the mind trap can only help, not hurt, i believe. The bug is that SoA is resetting threat and changing targets when he casts mind trap. That's not supposed to be happening as the tank has more than enough to worry about getting soa under the pyramid and not being under it himself.

We've killed it every week it's been bugged. This week was a one shot.

Don't rely solely on the tank for positioning Soa in P3. Have ranged help call out positioning. The camera angles in there are rough.

If you are having trouble with the mind trap threat reset use your Ancient Pylon OT to help your MT.

Our problem wasnt the positioning itself, but the fact that he went after somebody else due to the threat reset just before the pylon came down and missed him.

Thats what he's talking about. We had an off tank standing by to grab aggro when that happens and keep him going in the right direction. Still the patch fixes him so it shouldnt matter after that.

Yeah I just wanted to nudge them in the right direction and not tell them straight off how to do it seeing as how we figured out the solution on the fly.

I'll be there Sunday!

I'll be on today (sunday) as well to further the chronicles of the one who flew over the soa's ledge.
