OK, your recruiting is done, what about your game, son?!?!

I assumed since you promised to do your recruiting, it was done. We all know what happens when Kush assumes

Not ready yet...had a sh*tty past two days. Will play tonight

Any chance I could get in on this as Colorado? I'm usually a better NCAA player than I am at Madden.

I say join the league!

Regarding the team: what does everyone think? My initial reaction was "There's no way Colorado can be a 2* team!" Boy was I wrong. Rated 83 overall, 85 offense, 79 defense. A bit higher than the other human teams, but not out of the realm. I'm borderline on the team, but don't really object.

We're already to week 10 (11 after tonight). If that bothers you, there's also the BCS league in week 7, which has somewhat higher rated teams...but Colorado may be down a bit from those.

I'm not sure if the rating has changed in you guys' league, but the game has Colorado ranked as a 2* with the recent settings. If there's an issue, I could pick something different.

Miami university is rated highly too. Not quite as high but still up there. You also got to look at the roster. Who are they losing at the end of the season? Part of me is put off by them, but at the end of the season, we should all be closer to the buffs than now. I just beat Arkansas and the are tougher than CU.

I also approve of Xeknos joining. Especially since I already played and lost to Colorado

Good point! Since I already lost to Colorado, I'm all for it!!

Hopefully his star players will leave before the rematch...

We're all listed as ready. Should we roll and have our newcomer come in for week 11?

Got my game in last night. Beat the razorbacks in the closing minutes ( check the stats, it was a closer game than the score shows). Lost my starting qb again. He was only out the game but still annoying none the less. Send that invite to xek and let get rolled.

On a side note. If you haven't tried it yet, go.check out the ME3 demo.

I'm fine with either way. I would probably lean towards rolling if I had to make a decision.

Welcome to Week 11!

So Bill when do you want to do this. I maybe on tonight if not I'm good tomorrow after 11pm or early Friday anytime before 330pm or Sunday after The Walking Dead. Before I forget all times foe me are eastern.

Leroy...when do you want to end my winning streak? I am good most nights after 9pm eastern.

And can someone send xeknos the password or an invite so he can get in the league?

What's the gamertag? And did I put a password on this?

I might have plans tomorrow and I definitely have plans Friday. If not tomorrow how about this weekend? I'm about to get a shower and get to bed tonight.

Xeknos is the gamertag. And just give me a time

9pm EST is good.

see you then

Hey guys...
Total noob to the forums and online dynasty in general since I'm the only hardcore football fan in my real friend group...

How would someone go about getting into one of these online thingamabobs?

1) Start to be active in the forums.
2) Ask!!

We have two leagues. This one, which focuses on adopting a 2* school that you (hopefully) upgrade over several years. The other one chooses some more advanced teams (though none that start as 6* schools).

We tend to play more sim-y football, meaning that going to the well on cheap plays (running 5 WR streaks all game, or pretty much any "money" plays all game) is frowned upon. We are most interested, though, in having fun.

So, depending on your preference for a 2* school or a 4/5* school, you may want to tell us about yourself, suggest a team, and get playing. The other thread is here.

Well, Bowling Green is just awful.

CSU defeats BGSU, 45-3, after BGSU turns the ball over *6* times (4 INTs, 2 fumbles...and 2 more fumbles they actually recovered).

Two gripes about the game

1) Western Michigan is (5-0) in conference play, Temple is (4-1). Same division, yet I don't play W.Mich at all. So then I checked the rest of my schedule. Aside from Toledo, I don't play anyone in my division. Not sure why this would happen, but oh well. Once again, this is why Commissioners should have full access to the schedules, instead of just the non-conference games.

2) Recruiting. I've made this point several times, and it continues to grate on my nerves. 5-topic discussion with a recruit, first 2 topics are D-rated for Temple, so I used both my Change Topics. Throughout the rest of the phone call, those 2 topics I originally skipped were once again brought up. Why can't the topics you skip be removed for the remainder of the current phone call? Why bother having the "Change Topics" option, because clearly, despite using them, they clearly didn't matter in this current phone call.

/rant

Yeah...the recruiting has some work to do. I have to wonder why I can get an instance commit for a 3 star but not from a one star when the circumstances match up. I'm sorry but if you are faced with playing at a small school like EMU and out of nowhere a big football school like wvu says " I promise you won't be redshirted, we'll win against our rivals this year and by the way, here's a scholarship." Do you really have to mull it over?

I can play tonight or Friday anytime, Sat and Sunday are out.
