Escape Radio Launches!

Section:

After months of harassment, blood, sweat and beers I am pleased to announce that the first episode of Escape Radio has launched! For those of you who haven't been following the news in the forums, Russ and I have teamed up to do a Podcast for the Escapist Magazine website. All of the things you loved about Gamers With Jobs Radio is back and better than ever, including the masterful music stylings of Mr. Ian "Podunk" Dorsh, composer extraordinaire.

I love the intro music, 'Dunker!

Great to have you boys back! Thank you guys for saying what you said about the addiction topic. Until you did, I was about to have a stroke.

It's great to have Certis and Fletcher back on the internet radio circuit. Not to mention, starting off with a John Romero reference makes me feel right at home.

Seconded. Nice to add that familiar irreverence back into my life.

I want more Podunk Stomp.

I'd forgotten how much I'd missed the podcast until I was crying from laughing so hard in the first five minutes.

Thank you, thank you, thank you. Welcome back, guys!

I was a bit overwhelmed by the podcast. Having never listened to either before, all the inside jokes and old references didn't connect with me. It seems as if the entire first 5 minutes was spent in raucous laughter. I guess a bit of jabbing between two friends is expected. I would have preferred a more focused approach. By no means perform a news reading; yet a bit more structure might help me along.

!!!

I'm so out of it. This has just made my Friday. I'm also glad to hear the first five minutes are just you guys laughing, so many memories.

Welcome back guys! I think I speak for everyone when I say you were missed. Your podcast is what got me into this site originally and it was always my favourite one. It's great to hear you both back at it again. Kudos to The Escapist for green-lighting this!

COngratulations on widening your audience.

F*cking ACE!
woohoo!

That feeels so good, you guys always hook me up with the best....

My boss says you guys laugh alot.

Oh, the Escapist Compound is in sunny NC, eh?

Yay, Podunk Stomp!

Can we change Certis' tag to "Fashion Designer"?

So... bi-weekly, eh! ...I guess, I mean... I guess it's alright. Sigh... good show.

Be you angels?

Nay, they are but men. Hard-rocking manly men!

It's good to hear you two podcasting again. Excellent work, as always.

May I suggest adding an iTunes subscription link?

ROCK!

Thanks for the comeback. I listened to a couple minutes then decided to save it for my upcoming road trip. Loved what I heard though. A true return to form. It was especially nice to hear the Potunes once again.

Huh, es-cah-pay. That's funny, because it's spelled just like escape!

working ...

Gracias, El Guapo.

It's working. Yay!

You wanna get nuts? Come on! Let's get nuts!

Why must the Escapist be blocked at work? Why?! Those dastardly IT goblins will rue the day they cut me off from the sweet, sweet sounds of Russel's pontification.

Once this makes it up on iTunes, everyone should go and rate it. That is, if you have something good to say.

EDIT:

Is it shameful to link to digg from here?

Great! The podcast is what brought me to this site, I was saddened to see it go, congrats on your Phoenix like rebirth.

Hey guys, Apple (finally) sent us over the iTunes subscription link for Escape Radio. So now you iPod owners can dowload the show into your happy, little white boxes. All ten bazillion of you.

We'll have a button up on the Radio page for iTunes on Monday. Cheers.

Amazing job as always guys. Best gaming podcast by miles. Glad to see you are back.

Just got back from vacation, and it was great to see the first episode of Escapist Radio up already!

Good times, good times.

That's how it typically goes, but I find it funny. Check out some of the archived shows and that's par for the course.

Thanks for the iTunes sub, automation FTW. Great show that seemed to end way too soon. Piece of advice: get a larger memory stick.
