Goojers with job opportunities

Work is getting miserable after the acquisition 8 months ago, and people are finally starting to quit, so I figured it's time to go job hunting.

Is anyone looking for a software developer? I use ASP.NET in C# with Oracle and MS SQL at work, but I'm also fairly proficient in Python, a bit of Ruby, and I've been slowly relearning C++. I live about 45 minutes SE of Philly, but I'm kind of in the same boat as Bonus, in that I'd like to just pack up and move somewhere new. I have a few places in mind, mostly gravitating towards either Philly proper (mostly because it would be an easier move than anywhere else) and Boston (I love Boston, and I have family there), but I'd consider pretty much anywhere urban (so sick of the 'burbs) for the right opportunity.

If you're open to Austin, my team has 2 senior Programmer Analyst positions, Garden Ninja.

Tagged. I would have called this thread Gamers without Jobs, but this is a better title.

No, that would be one of these.

If you're interested in really interactive web development and a incredibly fun company, I'd suggest checking out my old employment, www.archer-group.com. They do a fair share of C# and SQL Server now, but most of their work is PHP. Their main office is in Wilmington, DE, with a satellite in Philly.

My current job is aerospace software in Greenbelt, MD near DC. We are definitely looking for Junior to mid-level Java and C++ devs. It's called Carr Astronautics and our web site is under construction. PM me an e-mail address if you want to send a resume.

This just showed up in my inbox.

...we're looking for a .NET dude and a NotWindows Python dude.

Locations include Austin and Santa Monica and the team is Demand Media Studios.

PM me for more info.

My company is hiring all kinds of things.

Java, .Net coders, requirements analysts, interaction designers

If anyone's interested in living in the Charleston, SC or Greenville, SC area PM me.

We are hiring system administrators for our Bridgewater, NJ data center again. Basic *nix knowledge is required (we are primarily a FreeBSD shop), but our clients use a bit of everything. PM if you live in the area and are interested.

The company I work for is hiring for two positions. We're a small company located in the Chicago suburbs.

Entry-Level Software Engineer

Entry-Level IT Analyst

If you're interested in either position, send me a PM and I'd be happy to give you more info and/or pass along your resume.

We need an experienced enterprise computing systems engineer working out of NC or possibly the DC area. Federal sales support for the hardware division of a large hardware/software vendor. This is for someone who can hit the ground running. PM me for info.

We just put up our new web site, still under a bit of construction: http://www.carrastro.com/home.html. Java and C++ developers and engineers are needed for aerospace and image data analysis software.

I expect the company I work for will have an opening in a week or two for a reporter covering oil/refined products markets in a real-time/daily environment. Ideally looking for someone with at least a couple of years of solid news experience with tight deadlines. Oil/Energy experience not necessary, but it helps. Job is based in Houston. I'd throw up a link, but it's not posted yet.

Anyone looking for a professionally licensed landscape architect? The economy finally caught up to my sister, where she had been lucky before since her company was working on a number of public projects.

She's in Seattle area now, but I'm sure would be interested in anything worldwide.

We're looking for an experienced C/C++ server application programmer. If you're in Silicon Valley and interested, PM me.

My company is looking for entry level to mid-level programmers with C++, C# or Java experience. We're located in Reston, VA.

Oregon Health & Science University's Knight Diagnostics Labs is currently recruiting for an experienced QA/Interface Analyst. The QA/Interface Analyst assures quality for software for our lab as it relates to functionality, stability and usability to meet customer's needs. Interface and validation needs will incorporate between lab systems and specialized lab equipment to other EMR, EHR, PMS and ERW.

Minimum Qualifications:
Six years work related experience in the information technology field or a combination of clinical or operational healthcare environments; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience

Here is our Craigslist Ad.

On personal notes, it is a pretty neat experience. We are a pseudo start-up that is taking 4 labs that have amazing technology and many years of experience and turning them into one cohesive unit that will be a profit-center for OHSU's Knight cancer Institute. We plan on being a major national diagnostic lab and eventually global(we already have global customers). On the smaller side we are doing things with cancer testing that nobody does(probably due to not being profit generating), like really finding every detail about a single patients cancer.

Speaking of QA, we've currently got 3 or 4 open QA positions here in Austin. We've got some other stuff on that page, too.

My company near Seattle is looking for Java Devs and a Dev Manager if anyone is interested.

Behold! If you are looking for a Network/Database/Systems Administrator you have found your man! I need a new job, and I need it now. I have 13 years of experience as the sole IT support for a small company. As the sole IT provider I do everything that a company might need. I've managed our server and LAN/WAN infrastructure, taken care of our SQL/MySQL databases, administered the entire Exchange organization, written custom code for our intranet and custom applications, and handled our complete VMWare infrastucture. This aforementioned small company is most likely going to fold in the next year, and having seen the writing on the wall, I'd like to get out while there's still time. So, if you know of any IT job in the SF Bay Area, or a job anywhere in the world that will allow me to telecommute, please shoot me a PM.

Hey, I know how to make coffee.

Splash Damage has just formed a spinoff company doing server backend stuff (matchmaking, stat tracking, all sorts) and are looking to hire, website here. PM me for any details (this is important, I don't check this thread often!).

The company my brother works for, Jacquette Consulting in Malven PA, is hiring. PHP dev, PL/SQL dev, project managers and more.

Hey y'all, glad I found this thread. I work for an Internet marketing firm that does SEO, SEM, PPC, SMO and so on, and we need freelance writers to help write content for our SEO clients. Please contact me for more info if interested. Thanks!

If you're looking for a job with our legal department or a facilities job, we've got both.

Microsoft’s Business Online Services Group is looking for a few good people to support us in deployments, incident management, and capacity expansion. Please reach out to me if you you are an experienced IT person or engineer or know someone in the Seattle area. Bonus points if you are good in League of Legends as we are looking for a fifth for our team.

Other than the fact that I don't know Python, PHP, .net, not really familiar with Unix, have no experience with SQL (but am learning), don't have a BS in Computer Science, etc., I think I'm perfect for a QA Engineer!

I would love to live in Austin...

Possible job here in NYC. There is a good chance that we are going to get another person who knows how to 3D model, light and texture within Maya. Also have to know Photoshop of course and some After Effects. We've been overloaded with world and can use a 4th hand.

I work for Ralph Appelbaum Associates and we create museums all around the world.

Thank you, but that doesn't really fit my background. I'm an embedded programmer mostly and only touched Maya once, back in like 2005. I made a door. It was sweet.
