NCAA12 GWJ2STAR -- Bowls: Leroy's Shame

Cool. We're 4/6 done already!

Temple gets their first win of the season, beating Toledo 24-10. After the offense was non-existant in the 1st quarter, Temple hit paydirt twice in the 2nd quarter for a 14-3 halftime lead. Up 17-10 late in the 4th, Bernard Pierce took a handoff on a draw, and rumbled 35 yards to put the nail in the coffin.

Congrats!

We're still 4/6 done...............

Do we have estimates on when we'll be rolling this train? puppy? dung ball? (Damn, what's the appropriate metaphor?)

Does anyone else have anything left to do.

I think we're waiting on two games to be played. If you've got a timetable for getting to yours, I'm sure folks wouldn't mind waiting. If you are so busy you have no idea... Well, that's good to let us know.

Other people can weigh in, but I don't think we want to keep you from playing if you think you're going to be able to get your game played in a reasonable time. It's just that long, long lay offs can kill momentum.

I'm gonna say Thursday is the deadline

my bad gents...I didnt know this week had started yet. I just popped on to see who was left and was like "OOPS" lol....game and recruiting done. Sorry for the delay.

Will play my game tomorrow.

Not to put pressure on you, Bill, but you're playing for the sweep: so far all of us have won this week's games! Good news is that you're playing EMU...

If I won, Bill better win

*EDIT*
RICE WINS 19-14!!!! We are ready to roll now Leroy!!!!!

Bill Bonney, when would you like to play this week? I can try to squeeze both you and Leroy (BCS League) in on Friday. It's the best and worst day for me to play, lol. I have babysitting duties while my wife is working. I think I can play after a feeding, and I am home from 2pm EST on (technically home all day, but wife goes to work at that time.)

ROLLED TO WEEK 7!!!

Firesloth, update the title. You are a slippery bit behind

HAH! Nice title change.

CMU takes Duke down. Duke tried to hang in there but Radcliff was on fire and Wilson had glue hands.

Sometime Sat or Sunday is best for me. I may be on Friday night, all depends when I go to bed. This graveyard shift sucks.

Western Michigan blows out Bowling Green 52-0. Both my offense and defense were on track this game. Started game off with a field goal to take 3-0 lead. Bowling Green's first drive though they went right down the field even after getting put into a 3rd and 16 after a sack. But when taking shot for a score I was able to get pressure up the middle and force a bad pass that was picked. The next drive I was able to go down and score almost at will. My QB threw for 315 yards and 5 TDs and was not sacked all game. 3 of those passing TDs came off of free plays when the D-Line jumped offsides. To my surprise though Bowling Green was abe to keep my RB Drake to only 156 yards and 2 TDs with his longest going only 23 yards. On the defensive side of the ball outside of that one drive early in the game Bowling Green only got past the 50 yard line one other time the whole game. Was able to knock out both their starting RB and QB got 2 sack and 2 picks and stuffed multiple run attempts in the back field. BG's last drive of the game they did complete a 75 yard pass to the one but my defense was able to get a good line stand and keep the game scorless.

Saturday - Monday sucks for me. Late Saturday MIGHT be doable though. With the baby, everything is up in the air, but she should be alseep by 11pm EST that night. I can give updates here and let you know.

How does this keep happening to me?

CSU beats NIU, 35-28 on a hail mary as time expires, capping off a 28 point fourth quarter for CSU.

I didn't lead in the game until I scored a TD with 1:06 left in the fourth. However, NIU scored again (after converting a 4th-and-18!!!) to tie it with only 0:11 left in the game. That set up the magic that led to the 69 yard game-winning prayer.

It didn't help that NIU's first two plays from scrimmage were runs going 67 and 73 yards for TDs. The first was a QB option run (see video). After that, they scored again on the opening drive of the third quarter and then not until the last minute of the fourth.

My running game...well, it was hard slogging out there. However, I converted on 7-12 third downs, most of those being of the 3rd-and-10 variety, and on 3-3 fourth downs, including a 4th-and-1 from the 14 yard line that resulted in a rushing TD to open the 4th quarter.

Crazy.

Late Sat should be good. I also can play in the mornings when I get home from work.

How early Sunday morning could you play?

Mother of God....you can tell I got my starting QB back this week. Marshall blows out Akron 85-10. To make it worse, the 4th quarter was just my 2nd string guys.21-40 660yrd and 9Tds. The second string QB threw 7-10 163yrds 2td. Just need to get my starting HB back and I will be a power house.

Bill Bonney, how does 11pm EST tonight sound?

Bill, I'm on now, but I am only going to be able to wait until 11:30pm. I can only sacrifice so much sleep

Been in bed all day sat sick and Sunday doesn't look much different. If I'm up to it, Sunday night or sometime Monday. Sorry for not posting sooner.

Feeling a little better I can play anytime today or late tonight.

Maybe late tonight. If the Giants win, I probably won't be able to sleep, so maybe after the Super Bowl I can hop on. If not, maybe 11:30pm on Monday night?

I have to work Monday night, go in at midnight.

BB, good game. Game was closer than the score indicated, and I got some VERY lucky breaks. 100 yard rushing TD, where I think my RB stepped out of bounds well shy of the goalline, but kept running with the ball for the score.

Leroy, we are 6/6, we can roll when you're ready.
