All "evidence" i've been able to find suggest that's a false claim / lie / made up rumor.
Turrets didn't give valor and folks didn't get valor for rapid repeated killing of the same player(s).
But yea, the rumor was out folks were already getting MASSIVE valor and were rank 100 right after the 1.1 patch went live...

no people did not get it for rapid killing the same person but they were getting it from somewhere we saw the guys tags change... i'll ask the other folks in the ops to remember the name but one guy went from gladiator to champion just while i was on and they were saying there were guys doing worse that had started earlier.
This is our server too what we've seen with our own eyes we're definitely not lying about it. You dont pvp as much as we do and not notice the other people you pvp against. The circle of champions and battlemasters is relatively small.

This is since the patch to keep players out of enemy bases...but works better than that ever did.
Dont see how they're gonna fix valor without a total overhaul of the system. Many players appear to be only interested in getting the ranks, and could care less about actual pvp from what i'm seein.
Illum was actually fun for an hour or so this mornin with about equal numbers of republics and imperials ... Got about 4000 valor we held central almost the whole time, died once and left after completing the quests. There weren't many people, about 10 each imperial and republic.
Dunno where these mass fests of farming are happenin but it sure aint our server.
WoW... coordinated valor swaps... Ilum should be shutdown until it can be played as it was meant to be. Ilum has been a huge letdown for me as I always enjoyed the open RvR of DaOc and WAR. that video made me sad..

valor swaps were happening before on our server... now if its happening though its on a much smaller scale. I at least i wont be called 'rude' for killing sith anymore.

oh i know (and btw nice to see ya out there), but i kept getting crap for attacking the sith because it was interrupting their swapping. told them if they didnt like pvp to gtfo the planet because the whole planet was a wz.

Made an Agent, Briva, looking to get an invite.
I made my first alt, a Bounty Hunter named Glanton. I'd like to get him an invite to the Guild. If need be I can set up a time to be online with a Guild officer the next few evenings to do it (we both have to be online at once, right?).
The BH feels way overpowered compared to my Inquisitor, btw. I'm level 11 and I haven't even been knocked out yet.
I love my Mercenary BH but I also love my Sorcerer Inq, both feel extremely powerful when compared to my poor Jug. The BH takes out groups of enemies like nobodies business while my Inq burns down single enemies in record time while my Jug just stands there hacking away at a single target for a couple minutes before beating them down. Maybe I just need to level up my Jug a bit more, poor guy's only 14.

My Powertech tank feels pretty ridiculously overpowered in comparison to my SI healer. I'm waiting on the legacy stuff to drop before I go too much deeper down the alt rabbit hole.
I haven't tried a BH yet, but I feel pretty damn powerful on my Lightning-spec Sorcerer. Incapacitating large groups of enemies with Force Storm which in turn procs free instacast Chain Lightnings is pretty great.
Sidenote: I finished the Inquisitor quest chain last night and holy crap was that awesome. It was starting to feel a bit stale towards the end (My crazy dangerous plan backfired and my nemesis escaped again?), but the final battle and its aftermath were fantastic.
After all the crap Thanaton put me through, watching my Inquisitor beat him down until he could barely crawl was so goddamn satisfying, and the neck snap was a big fat cherry on top of the delicious revenge sundae.
