NFL 2011 Conference Championship Round

So, if the receiving team touches the ball but doesn't control it, the punting team can recover it but not advance it? (Can't always hear the announcers.)

Different from college, but it does prevent the refs from stealing a TD like I thought they just did.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!

So close!

Come on D, get that ball back.

There is your Manning effect... that should have been a fumble.. quick whistle

Well that's about as ugly a 3 and out as you can have... once again, come on defense!

That's a reach, his forward progress was stopped. If there was a Manning effect, there would have been a penalty on Smith for driving Manning into the ground. Not saying there should have been, just to be clear.

Bad punt. Just punt it through the back of the endzone.

Well I give Harbaugh credit for trying. I hate seeing people take a knee and wait for OT.

Go Niners!

My heart is about to beat out of my chest!

If it takes a half an hour to explain the overtime rules, they aren't good overtime rules.

Same!

Even my wife is getting nervous about this one.

Once again the 49ers defense break up their own INT!

Yes. How about just a 10 minute period or something? How about using the college rules? How about anything better than what happened in Denver?

"Jason Pierre-Paul is just able to come on the backside."

Thank you, commentator, I love Out Of Context Theater.

OK, that was a Manning effect call (should have been false-start)

Yeah he didn't even break into the neutral zone, just kinda leaned forward.

f*ck ME

GIANTS BALL!!!! GIANTS BALL!!!! GIANTS BALL!!!!!

Special teams matter. Jeez.

EDIT: And injuries. If Ted Ginn Jr knew what would happen he'd probably be out there playing through it.

I disagree, as did the announcers.

And I feel your pain on the muffs by your punt returner. Perhaps you remember ours single-handedly giving the Ravens their margin of victory last week? Sucks. Not what you want to determine a game.

If there is a god....

It looks like the two teams heading into the SB didn't win games just managed not to lose them with a bit of luck. This is coming from a PAts fan too.

Dunno if I would have called the icing timeout after the delay of game already broke their rhythm.

Super Bowl Giants!!!!!

What a couple of games we had there.

Well this should be interesting.

That was a hard fought game. A great game with great defenses. My hats off to the niners. They played great D.

Excited for the Super Bowl. Four years ago was a great game and I don't expect any less from this one.

Agreed. I just wish the other teams had won.

Niners and Ravens in the SB would've been much more interesting for me.

Awesome game! Go Giants!!

+1 Really good game, 49ers were tougher than the Packers.

Kyle Williams, I dub thee the Goat. Super Bowl XLVI, I dub thee...the day I'm very tempted to finish off Skyrim.

Yeah he'll keep the monkey off Alex Smith's back for the 0-12 3rd downs.
