honestly... I'm 100% unimpressed with the Ravens so far... this game should be 13-3 in favor of the Texans.. possibly even 20-3.

Too right. Our defense is kicking some serious ass. Whatever happens, the Texans can play with anyone.

What? Points off turnovers somehow don't count in your head? I think the Saints might like to have played yesterdays game in your head.

That's a thing we like to call 'wishful thinking'. There are two sides to a football game, and last I checked, the defense counts for what happens too.

There are points off turnovers, and then there are gifts. That one was the latter, right at the beginning. The Texans are one non-firing of Jacoby Jones away from being tied right now.

Also, speaking of bad QBs. I know the Texans have a good secondary but Flacco does not look good. Since ESPN doesn't talk about him non-stop like some other bad QBs, what is the general feeling among the Baltimore faithful?

My dad hates him. He thinks he's unable to think fast enough. I tend to agree on that, though I don't hate him.

The people I know are split on him in general. The halfway fans like him cause the Ravens keep winning, the real football fans tend to dislike his up and down tendencies.

In my opinion taking Torrey Smith away all game made the Ravens one dimensional again. Brilliant defensive gameplan.

Even if the Ravens somehow win the Super Bowl I hope Cam Cameron gets fired.

I'm feeling very nervous about this game, but I know Aaron Rodgers and the offense will be ready. Let's hope the return of Chad Clifton to the offensive line will be enough to quiet the Giants D line, or at least as quiet as you can hope to keep that group.

Flacco definitely has his ups and downs. There are times when he looks fantastic, but other times.. I just want to reach through the screen and punch him in the face.

As a Steelers fan I view Flacco as someone who is a threat when he is on, but isn't nearly consistent enough to make me worry going into a game. If he gets hot early on it can be a long ride, but until he shows that in any particular game he isn't much of a threat.

And much like Matt Ryan I really have no faith in him when it comes to an important game.

I don't understand why Yates tried for the HR ball with 2 minutes to play. They had some nice momentum on the first two plays, and then out of the two minute warning, you go HR? Why, so you can tied the game, and give the Ravens the ball with 1:40 to play? I think if the Texans had Schaub, they win that game easily, even with Jacoby Jones gift-wrapping an early TD for the Ravens.

Here on out, no matter who wins the NFC, I'm rooting for them in the Super Bowl. #letsgogiants

Sure it does..but dominating a rookie QB who looked awful and an otherwise uninspiring offense with basically zero sacks and gift INT's isnt world beating IMO. But it could be that they just had a bad game with the off week.. we'll see how they fare on the road against the PAts.

Kush: Definitely wondered what difference Schaub would have made in the game. You like to think he wouldn't have thrown 3 picks, and that's the difference between him and a rookie. Then again, Schaub has thrown some huge 4th quarter INTs as well.

Next year should be great if we can get a receiver or two and maybe something else in the draft. Houston fans are definitely disappointed at the moment, but very optimistic about next year.

Well that was a big oops for the Packers D.

Packers get a huge break.. that pretty much looked like a clear fumble.

Followed by a big oops by either the replay tech team or the ref. I honestly can't explain that review.

I think we need to be harsher than that. What a stupid, stupid play. The man gets paid to tackle people.

With regards to the Ravens-Texans game:

No sacks?? Where the heck was Terrell Suggs all game? The left tackle for Houston ate his lunch.

The offensive play calling by the Ravens was suspect in some patches. You're driving and running the ball well with a bit more than 3 minutes to play. The Texans' D-line has been very dangerous on passing situations. You call 2 (3?) passes in a row when you're at the 35 yard line, all incompletes that stop the clock. The last of these results in a sack that takes you out of FG range. Hell, once you get the the 35, your job as an offense should be to run the ball up the middle to get to the 30, forcing the Texans to use their time outs.

I have to say, I was actually reasonably impressed with Yates. First year player in Baltimore (where the Ravens haven't lost this season) for a playoff game...I thought he could have been a lot worse! He made Baltimore pay for their lack of pressure several times. He also had some poor reads, but he's a rookie. I'd say he earned his paycheck.

I wonder if the Giants baited the Packers into that onside kick attempt. The Packers have done that a few times this year, but only after seeing the coverage team turn their backs too early.

I guess the NFL wants the Packers back in the Super Bowl. HORRIBLE call by the refs, clearly a fumble. So much so, that even Joe Buck and Troy Aikman made the right call.

So easy, a caveman could make that call.

I dont know about Super Bowl but the NFL would kill a fatted calf and not call an obvious fumble for a Saints/Packers rematch

The difference so far has been Rodgers's legs. That's two three scrambles for first downs already.

WTF Packers receivers. I guess Rodgers should just keep running it himself.

I'm not saying it is, but that's the way the cookie crumbles sometimes. I'd wager that just about every team has had games like that this season for one reason or other. As for next week at New England? Well, if they're on, it'll be a good game and I think Ravens D can carry the day, provided that Flacco and the offense doesn't look like a bag of canned ass. If they can't do that, well, New England is on its way to another Super Bowl.

That was totally a Jennings fumble.

Well, well. First, GB doesn't tackle the runner in bounds to let the clock run out. Then the secondary allows a TD on a Hail Mary.

Green Bay's defense better do a gut check during halftime if they don't want this to be the end of their season.

Do the Packers know how to tackle?

They know how to fumble and count on hometown officiating to bail them out.

Man, I still see defenders launching themselves with their head first .

The defense-only formula is what got the Bears to the Super Bowl a few years ago, and Flacco is a minor football god compared to Grossman. Flacco is capable of winning football games. All Grossman could do was possibly make sure that the Bears didn't lose. I don't think it's a reliable formula for how football is played today(or even in 2007), but it's certainly possible if luck is on the Ravens' side.

At this point, all I can hope for is Green Bay losing today, and the Patriots losing next week. If it's a Green Bay/Patriots superbowl, I'll just have to hope that the entirety of both teams get a season ending injury the day before the game.

I see my 4-0 week slipping away...

Say what you will about Joe Buck, but he just summed up the game for GB - a game of missed opportunities.
