Anyone with a lower level character interested in running a flashpoint/heroic? My Marauder (Kalivar) is just about to gain his ship and 16th level, and I've not grouped up once yet. I'm hoping to be on early this evening if there's any interest.
I gotta say, I'm really really enjoying my Sith Warrior but its a struggle to play to the "light" some times. There's just a number of characters in the game just begging for a beheading.

Other than loot does it matter gameplay-wise if you go light/dark? I've actually been leaning more towards dark, but would hate to find I can't group up with you goodie-two-shoes types down the road.

I caved in really quick when npc after npc berated me for not only being an alien, but for attempting to be merciful in the sith societal structure. Also, since Khem Val is the pretty much the only sorc companion, I didn't want to get too far into a deep hole with companion favor.

I was originally planning on keeping my Inquisitor pretty neutral, but the dark options are so much fun. Any time [Shock] appears beside a conversation option I just can't resist. I'm currently sitting a Dark 2 with only 250 light points, so much for staying neutral.
I think the most ridiculous chain of dark choices I've made so far was the time some Imperial officer sent me to rescue his son, and I ended up murdering the son instead because I wanted some artifact he found. His dad was pretty mad about it, so I murdered him too. Mission accomplished?
Nope. Murder it up. You'll still be able to group with the namby pamby do-gooders.
In flashpoints (and you'll see this when you group tonight), everyone is given a choice in the conversation and you make a roll 1-200. Highest roller gets their response chosen and that's what happens in the FP but you still get light/dark side points for your response. So while I may choose to play with all the puppies and that's what the cut scene shows, you still get your 100 dark side points for turning them into coats.
It's a tidy little system and there are still some FPs where I've only ever seen 1 choice or the other happen because of rolling flukes.
I have rolled a 347.
I think it is a 1-100 roll with a roll bonus added every time you fail to get your choice picked.

Yup. And you get those bonuses even when you didn't have the chance to participate. Run through a few class quests for some friends, and then check your first roll in a conversation where you can actually interact -- it will be huge.

To be fair, that son was a jerk.

Oily would not know because he does not play well with others!
Hi I have a Sith Juggernaut lv34: Raiden-Ronin & bounty hunter lv5: Stratos. Could someone invite me to the Guild please.

Whisper one of the folks mentioned in the main post while in game -- unfortunately, it is not possible to send guild invites to characters who are not logged in.
Wanted to mention that Wednesday night CptGlanton, Aldruar (don't know who you are on the forums) and I spent the evening doing all the stacks of Heroics on Balmorra we all had saved up. It was great idea and nice to enjoy with guildies.
I am up for doing that in another capacity on Nar Shaddaa as I have moved my IA story there.

I just got to Nar Shadda last night. I'd love to run some heroics there but I don't think I even have any yet.
Which leads me to another question, how similar are the story lines? Are the close enough so that we could group up and do quests together or are we all off on different adventures?

The core class quests (the ones listed under 'Class' in your log) are specific to just the classes. IE: My Imperial Agent storyline quests are totally different than your Sith storyline quests. All the other quests (the ones you get in the open world) are the same across the classes. There are some VO nods to what you are (usually the 'greet' line, where they'll refer to what you are), but otherwise they're identical.
The class quests, gloriously, can be done multiplayer. It's super fun to group up with a dude from another class and join them in their class instances. The grouped-up guy can't make story choices for you, they can only watch. But it's still hellah fun to see 'the other side of the street'.

Yes, indeed. Not much time tonight, but I'd be down for more grouping tomorrow night or over the weekend.

I should be on over the weekend as well (Aetrea, 18 Powertech tank). Sorry I couldn't stay later last night, the Hammer run was fun.
You know the big robot in all the press for update 1.1?
That's not a robot. It's a mech.
Also: Who's good at Towers of Hanoi?
Made it through Red Reaper with Cerebus, Aeonia & Fuzz last night. The dungeon itself was a bit meh, though the boss fights were neat. I've finally got my full complement of heals, so it's interesting to begin learning which ones to use in which situations, while keeping an eye towards mana regen. Also, VERY fun stuff happens right after you finish Voss in the Sith Inquisitor storyline.
tsk tsk Fuzz... dropping matches? You dont get valor doing that.

You get weeklies done for winning matches...not for posting in the other guild's thread.
Got 3 pieces today from my bags today. Including mainhand saber and helmet for my Jugg. Both major upgrades for PvE.
Not everyone does pvp cause they like pvp warzones...some of us just do it for the weekly quest and gear chance.
On the other hand nobody likes pvping against someone you know is going to trash talk you after they roll your group of 8 random players with their premade...so it's pretty much my policy to drop any match where we're already getting facerolled right off by a premade.
I play this game for the PvE.
I'm done with my weeklies so cya next week for a few seconds.
Annoy someone else with yer trash talk till then.

You should work on your luck, I am still one champ piece ahead of you

lol seriously? 1 you pvp and you were running with premades as well. So turn about is fair play. As for sh*t talking everyone knows i'm just sh*tting, but if you want to take it personal go for it. Plus if you want to pvp just for gear it's statistically a waste of time to quit than it is to finish a match for the tokens. It will net you at least 1 extra bag every other day. Not to mention it's being a poor sport which will eventually get penalties patched in to prevent that specific kind of behavior.
So I was trying to avoid starting another MMO, but I enjoyed the beta and liked the storyline. Then my brother had to go and give me a $50 giftcard to gamestop. I held off as long as I could!
I enjoy support, so I'll be playing a sage.
Here's to hoping Sith stories are as good as the Republics!
What server are we on?
What server are we on?
Kellar's Void.
The penguin really ought to edit the OP with that info.
Yeah, for some reason I thought there were separate servers. I guess that would make pvp hard, though. Thanks!
@Crisy:
I've tasted a bit of both sides and I'm loving Sith way more than jedi.
