NFL 2011 Wild Card Playoff Round

Wow. I didn't expect Cincy to get punked like that. With all the blitzing, they still weren't able to get any serious pressure on a rookie QB. I timed the first half plays and he was getting 4-5 seconds per pass before he even had to worry about pressure showing up.

Don't expect that at M&T.

I'm actually happy about the Texans win despite having picked the Bungles. I'm confident that the Ravens would be able to take the Steelers at M&T as well, but I'd rather they beat up on the Patriots. Steelers games always result in bruising.

Funny story today, I walked into my local pizzeria to pick up an order, wearing a Giants shirt. The guy behind the counter smiled really big, and told me to "have a good weekend, Go Falcons."

I smiled as well, and then politely asked him who the Eagles were playing this weekend, so I knew who I was supposed to root for.

He stopped smiling.

You got the "special" pizza.

This is starting well for both offenses.

Edit: Good lord, boogle, you've really changed your look.

I thought the late game was supposed to be the defensive battle. Sheesh.

Why Mike Smith didn't call a timeout is baffling to me.

No, it's supposed to be the Steelers defense killing Tebow.

ugh.. Giants are going to win this game.. this is just awful.

Agreed. I'm about to go 0-3.

What really disappoints me is that the Falcons are EXACTLY the kind of team I would build if I was a GM. I would not be a good GM.

They are also playing right into the Giants strengths... this is just awful coaching at its worst. leaving points on the field.. yuck.. they deserve to lose this game.

Mike Smith keeps making bad stupid decisions and it's costing him.

Put a fork in em.

Barring an insane comeback here and a win that would catapult Tebow from Chosen One to Second Coming, I'm looking to have picked perfectly this week!

GIANTS!

Huh. A Tebow passing TD before a Big Ben one. Wonder what the odds were on that in Vegas?

Those sure are some ugly passes, but he's getting them there. That said, I can't get past the fact that he's getting like whole minutes standing back there before he has to throw.

Zero pressure on Tebow from Pittsburgh so far.

TEBOW!

Holy crap.. Tebow is going to win this game... I would hate to be in Pittsburgh right now.. its gotta be depressing.

Pittsburgh is good at making adjustments at halftime. They're hardly out of this game. Right now it looks like they're trying to contain the run game (especially Tebow on the edges), which is why there isn't a ton of pressure. They might step up the pressure instead of giving him all day to throw.

Lots of game left.

Edit: Uh oh. Int.

Yeah, I'm curious to see what LeBeau is going to dial up; Tebow's big issue is making tight throws under pressure, and he has had zero pressure today. Denver is completely controlling this game right now.

You gotta take Ben outta there.. he's hurting the team.

This is a weird game for me to watch. My hate for the Steelers knows no bounds so watching Rapelisberger wobble around and fail so hard is pretty great.

On the other hand I really can't stand the Tim Tebow fervor and I wish failure on him every week just so we can stop hearing about him.

I feel exactly the same way. In the end I want Pittsburgh to win so that New England has to face them.

Damn, that was a nice play to Fells.

+1k

2 big holds by the Steelers. If either one of those FGs had been a TD, they'd be in much more trouble. Still just 2 scores now, with a chance to maybe get a FG before the half.

My god, I agree with Phil Simms. Prevent defense sucks.

this.

Damn, fix your broken ass replay system, NFL. I don't care who wins this game, but that's a damn joke. We blew the whistle, so we can't review it has been a tired excuse for years now.

And now that you've went to auto review on scoring plays, it's time to just adopt the college system and automatically review plays. It's the one thing college football does right.
