Just a reminder, we will be starting the Iron League season 3 soon, so far there are 13 teams applied.
Some of those teams may not be participating this time around so can:

Tkyl

Please confirm whether you're in for Iron league or I will drop your teams.

I'm still in!

I'll repost scrubs information tomorrow.

We have the small problem of the championship game not being done though.

Doh! :(

Who are the two jackasses that haven't done that yet?

Lars, I can probably work it in most any time today.

Get it done ASAP, people are waiting on you now :)

Last online: 21 hours ago. I'll keep an eye out for him. For the moment, though, it's time for dinner. AFK.

Sorry Grump, I was away from the computer when you send me a message. Will you be free Tuesday night to do it? Say around 8 or 9 PM? Let me know.

I'll be free once I get the kids in bed. 8 or 9 PM (Central) sounds just about right.

Ummmm...... yeah, I have to pick up my cousin from work tonight now. (Pittsburgh is getting hit with a lot of snow at the moment, and she can't drive in the snow) I should be back, hopefully, by around 11:00-11:30 EST. If that's too late for you, no big deal, just give me the loss so you can get the league going again for the new fish.

Shouldn't be too late.

Edit: Sugar Bowl just got interesting. I'll be back online when it's done. Ping me if you're around.

Edit2: Sugar Bowl done. At the computer for a bit but if we don't get this started soon, it's going to go late... For the record, I'm just as willing to take a loss as Lars. Unlike some other games, I just play Blood Bowl for the fun of it and don't care about my record beyond the match I'm currently playing..

Edit3: G'night.

One way or the other, Scrubs league will start taking new applications this weekend.

Now question, what format would you guys like to see for scrubs league?

I like the league being primarily for new people and new teams so I'm thinking a rather low TV cap. I'd still like to see teams continue from year to year though if those teams aren't ready to move to another league yet.

So let's say the TV cap is 1200 and only brand new teams can apply. So, if you weren't in it last season, you can't bring a TV 1200 team in, you'll need to start a new one. Also, anyone that finished over .500 (through games played) should probably move on or stay on in an advisory capacity =) What does advisory capacity mean? Play for a tie and spend more time helping the other person and answering questions than you do on your own turn.

Make sense? Questions and counter-proposals, hit me.

I'm starting to think fate doesn't want me to play this friggin game.

Got home last night, log onto computer..... no connection to Steam servers. Ok, that's fine, I'll go onto gamerswithjobs.... can't do it. No internet connection. *sigh*

If you're available tonight Grump, we can try it one.... last.... time. If not, I'll just take the loss. I'm starting to think that if I do try to boot up the game, lightning may strike me.

Penguin let me know if want an extra player to be an adviser? i have no problems playing for ties and coaching.

Scrubs league.

I think I'll jump in that ring. I'm hoping the commitment will just force me to break down and play some MP matches. What are the general guidelines for scheduling? One game a week, bi-weekly, more, less? I like the TV cap, and I think there should be some flexibility for people who just aren't good at the end of the season (aka me).

On that note, I'm still horrible. I ALMOST beat the AI on easy last night but fumbled on their goal line after catching a pass, and then trying to go for it rather than risk the AI catching my undefended player. They then progressed up the field, I stalled their cage but they passed. I used a fireball and knocked two of their players down causing a fumble, but on the last play they got up, grabbed the ball, and scored. BOO. I should have been more patient.

Anyway, I've read some of the beginner tactics stuff that has been posted and it's helped, but I'm still having trouble knowing how to properly advance my cage. Any tips?

I'm not sure if my schedule would work for tonight, but i'd like to try and catch one of you experienced players in a match so help me out. Most nights I can make plans for a match around 9:30pm mountain time.

Hit me up on steam man. I can give you a match against a dwarf or lizardmen team with accompanying commentary, suggestions and explanations.

I should also be on for a game tonight if anyone's looking, one year old kid permitting.

I like the scrub rules, and should be able to get games in.

When are we planning on starting Slap/Tickle? I could do more scrubs, but I don't think I can commit to two leagues a week.

I was out drinking and watching Clemson get the sh*t kicked out of it last night. I'll definitely be home tonight. Up to you (and Oily, I guess).

How dare you.

Things are a little up in the air tonight, but I should have some time tonight. I will do everything I can to get on.

The Scrubs league finale is finished. In a very competitive overtime game, Laarrs Lethal Legions won 2-1 over the Ruttin Mudders. To say it could have gone either way is an understatement. Grump is a very scary opponent.

Good. You've curbed my wrath.

For now.

Anyway, I'll move scrubs league to a new season this evening and post join information in here.

Can I get an invite to the steam group please, since I'm in one of the leagues. Looking forward to playing humans - Steam ID is onewild

I'm guessing I should promote the Ruttin Mudders out of the Scrubs league. What's the next logical place? Bronze? Iron? I've got a couple unbloodied teams in the Open league that I can move over to Scrubs 2.0 if you want/will have me.

Iron, sir. Iron.

And teams entering into Scrubs s2 need to be either brand new or have played in Scrubs the previous season and still be under TV 1200 (for the sake of new people).

I'd like to put my BB copy to good use (play it more than the tutorial), so I want in on the Scrubs league, and a group invite would be appreciated.

Disregard. Posted in what looks like the more appropriate thread: Blood Bowl League Thread

In honor of your victory, I've named my new Troll "Lars".

You do realize that you may have doomed that poor bastard to poor rolls now, right?

I have a player in my Slap and Tickle team called Urist McLaarrs

Ok, so Scrubs is now ready to accept applications. I have kicked every team over TV 1200 so the only teams in there right now are Grumpy, Strangeblades, Chabuda, Gwinn and Boogle. I'd like at least 3 more, preferably new people.

The password is 'newmeatGWJ'

Ok, my lizards racists applied for tickle. We'll see how it goes.

Put in an Orc team for Tickle2. I am sure nothing can go wrong.

Dropping btw.

When is bronze starting up? I've been holding out of S&T for it.

I applied to Scrubs.

I'll apply to Scrubs once I read more on the game and get some experience with it. General information about BB Leagues? And Oily, what date would you like to see the league started by?

Hit me up if anyone is up for a learning/noob game today.
