WOW- BHA guild offer and info

I will say it was enjoyable being in a guild with non asshats for once. Didn't talk much as it is going to take a bit to get everything confined again and trying to relearn how to play would be hard enough if things hadn't changed so much. But damn I am going to be lost for a bit still.

My plan is to push this guy up to 85 and test out the waters on the queues during my play times to see, and I anticipate moving over the other of my characters. Being alliance isn't that bad these days and I have to admit I kinda dig the casting animations of the Worgens. I do miss the goblin rocket jump.

Power level the heck out of that toon and come run some of the new heroics with us while they're hot!

For the first time in many many months I find myself thinking about and...cough...missing WoW.

Oh you infernal temptress!

I'm not sure I'd even remember how to play and I'm certain I have no idea what's going on in the world!!

DO IT!!!! I need another person hopelessly confused as to how to play again.
Oh and thanks for the advice (not sure on the coloration between GWJ names and wow names yet, whomever said questing was faster then chain running dungeons. You were right, should be able to get to 85 tonight. If my new desk project doesn't eat up my night.

Funny thing about WoW, when I think about it from a distance, it seems like it's be fun to start playing again. Then I go to a few WoW sites and I get hit with a nasty bout of PTSD of lost sleep, bad pugs and an immense time suck.

I think I'll probably give SWTOR a shot in a few weeks. I'll have a few new BF3 maps to keep me busy till then.

I just moved my hunter over to blackhand as well.

Bear i will tell you this, wow is a million times better then when i quit last time.

How bizzare, yesterday I got a "play free for 7 days" email from Blizzard.

Karkand's out this week and SW in two weeks. I just don't see time for WoW

So whats your real id so I can see you when you log on tonight.

Come home Bear. You've been missed.

How active is the Black Hand Hord guild? I have a few Hord characters and I'm in Heresy now, but I'd rather hang with GWJ folks.

The GWJ guild is practically nonexistant on the horde side, as I understand it.

I think that Horde is practically nonexistant on Horde side sadly....judging by their AH, there's not much there.

Well, the Heresy guild has been good to me on BH. Wish I hadn't used up slots on BH for horde though. I need more Alliance alts. (Always need more alts.)

Bumping the thread for great justice.

BHA is still limping along at the moment, as we've hit the perfect storm of doldrums - The Old Republic is still siphoning off our regulars and there's no forthcoming content for WoW until Pandamonium ships.

We're still trying to organize the occasional raid - Dragon Soul is still pretty fun to take on, and LoLFR is a laugh and easy loot.

If you're a Goodjer who WoWs and have any interest in hanging with us cool folk who still frequent the server, we'd love to see you join up.

Send a tell to anyone on in the 'GWJ Alliance' guild on Blackhand, tell us your forum name and you're in and welcome.

Look forward to seeing you!

Selika, current placeholder GM.

Does anyone knows if buying the Catalysm expansion from Battle.net give you the first month free?

I know the retail version does, but I don't see anywhere on the site if the digital one does.

AFAIK, none of the expansions include game time.

Hi all-

Your friendly neighborhood BHA guildmaster here bringing you an opportunity to come join us playing some World of Warcraft. For those of you who are without a home on your servers across the realms, we at BHA on the blackhand server would welcome any goodjer who wants to be a part of the mix.

Some current info about us:

*** We raid 2 to 3 times a week. Progression and alt runs occur.
*** We are knuckleheads and have a relaxed environment to play in.
*** We require respect for each other and all the good natured ribbing that goes along with it. (seems I get the most of it though)
*** We are home to casual players, raiders, and social butterflies.

So, if you aren't getting what you need, come try us out. If you are new, returning, or looking for some stable opportunities,
we are always looking for some goodjers to join us. Send me a PM if you have questions or answers (I need those too).

Sure thing. But you have to promise to start using punctuation =)

Back in it, trying to decide if I want to go Pally, Shaman, or something "exotic". I'll probably just break down and roll Pally again. Once I'm pretty set, I'll track down someone for an invite

You realize, of course, that for the next month or so, we're going to be the GWJ Open Hand Alliance, as we're all rolling Pandaren Monks!

The BlackandwhiteHand Alliance?

Booooooo

Do you have fur, round ears, big belly and a cute demeanor? Or have an itch to be a furry? Umm... you might want to look up an RP server.
Seriously, if you're coming back for Pandamonium / Land'o'Panda / Pandaland / etc and want to hang with us kids, look up GWJ Alliance guild - Blackhand server, Alliance faction. (As if it wasnt obvious by the name...)

Send a whisper to anyone on with the tag and they'll direct you to the right person.

Selika, current placeholder GM & scapegoat.

You know I can't unread that, right? >.>

LOL.

It's adorable you still think you're a placeholder.

sucker.

I really want those damned BOA pants, so are we good on getting at least one person in guild to 600 in each profession?

When I looked this morning, I think (and I'm going from memory here) we were short on cooking (which requires a rep grind, so this will take a while), jewelcrafting, engineering (I'm at 570-something; I'm hoping I can max out in the next couple of days) and maybe 1-2 more.

If anyone needs scopes, thermal anvils or any other engineering trinkets, PST. At this point I'll do anything with my mats assuming one of those mats isn't those damned Spirits of Harmony.

Grats to the sucker guildie who maxxed out fishing.

The sucker in question is Reaps. He apparently likes it.

Cooking is a matter of having enough vegetables. The Reaps in question has apparently been collecting fish into grocery baskets, trading said baskets for tokens and buying veggies with them, which is probably a good call. There are a few more of us working on it, too.

JC will be done tomorrow, once all the cooldowns reset. You're the only one with Engineering above 525, so that's all you. That leaves Tailoring, which Hack is working on as I type.

That sounds ... complicated. But, hey, that'll be me soon enough.

I pushed engineering to 581 last night thanks to the Thermal Anvil. I'll make some more tonight and add a few to the guild bank. If anyone wants one mailed to them or an alt directly, mail me in game. The anvils have 20 charges, so they do wear out. At least they don't blow up, which suggests goblin engineering is making some progress (or taking a few steps back, depending on how you few goblin engineering, I guess).

I should be able to be done with engineering this weekend. I'm still short about nine motes of harmony because I'm killing only dozens and not hundreds of creatures each day.

Basically, you can trade large quantities of food for extra cooking tokens. And you can use cooking tokens to buy (smaller quantities of) food. Since Dr. Grim enjoys fishing but hates farming, he has a wealth of extra fish but almost no vegetables. But using this system he can sell the fish for cooking tokens, then buy the vegetables with them. It lets him collect food in the way he enjoys, and not get bummed or frustrated because he has to farm a zillion carrots to max his cooking skill. It's a pretty elegant system.
