NFL 2011 Week 15

Usually I'm a big hater of hype trains but I really feel like Cam Newton isn't getting the attention he deserves. Shouldn't all the annoying talking heads who hyped him before the season be crowing now? Same with Andy Dalton who only got a bit of attention mid-season. These are two rookie QBs who I would love to have on my team.

Carolina isn't winning enough and the luster has worn off of Newton atm. He's still turning the ball over an awful lot too and his numbers are somewhat down compared to earlier in the year when he was blowing the lid off of things.

Dalton got the attention when he they were winning. They're not beating good teams atm, so ...

Playoffs are more important than rookie performance. They'll get hyped later when it comes to voting, but for now Brees is more important than them as are all the playoff scenarios.

Oh, and that Tebow thing.

True, Newton isn't throwing for 4 million yards a week like he had been, and he's not the shiny new toy in the NFL box.

But Carolina has won three of four (all three wins are on the road) with a defense mostly made up of guys they found standing outside the stadium last month. He already has the single-season QB rushing TD record, and he's 17 yards away from breaking (and burying) Peyton Manning's rookie QB yardage total.

That said, the playoffs do matter, and Carolina's nowhere close.

My boys the Saints looked pretty danged good yesterday. I'm liking our chances this year...

It's official: Candlestick just overtook the Coliseum as the sh*ttiest stadium in the NFL.

Hell yeah! Build that new stadium ASAP! The league should chip in after this embarrassment.

Man, they'll end up playing until very, very late tonight. That'll probably play into the Niners hands as the Steelers will be playing until 4 am.

COME SEE THE METRODOME.

It sucks.

Yeah, but the roof didn't collapse twice. On the same night!

Wait what?? The roof collapsed on live TV?

OK that was a pretty bad call. But I'm still mad about that debacle last week, so as far as I'm concerned the league owes us.

It's like the old saying "One Harbaugh washes the other".

The new thread is not for the faint of heart.
