NFL 2011 Week 13

Not really all that confident about my picks this week.

Eagles at Seahawks: Normally I hate picking teams from the east coast playing on the west coast. But I think the short week screws up everyone's schedule, so Eagles in a closer than it should be given the talent disparity game. Of course you could have said that about the Eagles most games this year.

Titans at Bills: WTF ever happened to the Bills anyway? Anyone remember the early part of the season when they were pretty good? Where'd that go?

Bengals at Steelers: The Ben-gals are not there yet.

Falcons at Texans: Close game but Yates yanks it out. And suffers a season ending injury leading to the resurgence of Jake Dellhomme's career. (I hope not; if Yates does I will feel bad).

Wildcard - Colts at Patriots: This game should be a total blowout. Monday, people will be all over Belichick for running up the score. But short of just taking a knee on every play, it really won't be his fault.

Edit: Speaking of Bucs QBs, Joooooosh Freeman apparently needed five stitches on the thumb of his throwing hand when he held a gun wrong at a firing range. On Halloween.

As long as he's not armed Sunday, it's all good.

Then again, to hit the Panthers' pass rushers, he'll need a rifle with a scope, not a pistol.

To echo the comment I made on PFT that got deleted (seriously, whoever edits PFT's posts really doesn't like snark), if I had Aqib Talib and Albert Haynesworth across from me in practice, I'd want to know how to shoot, too.

The Jaguars may not move to LA, but instead...St. Louis? With the Rams going to LA. Wow, I'd hate to be a St. Louis fan.

How soon could a team play in LA? would they just roll into the old Coliseum and thats that?

I wonder where the LA Live (I think it was) guys still fit into the equation. I remember a while back one of the investors being on Bill Simmons podcast and how they were prepared to build a new stadium first as they felt they could finance it even before having a NFL team to play in it.

Also let me be first to say that Legion you don't get to swap the St.Louis Jags for the L.A Rams.

Eagles at Seahawks: A game the Seahawks should easily lose? Prepare for an upset!
Titans at Bills: I just don't believe in the Titans, but I think I've felt that way since McNair left.
Bengals at Steelers: Stupid Steelers, this is a hedge as I will celebrate if the Bengals win.
Falcons at Texans: Sorry Texans, I really thought this was your year.
Wild Card Pick: Colts at Patriots: I'll take an easy win. Would any team be willing to replace their head coach with Caldwell?

Hmmm, so the love child of Han Solo and Buddy Holly is heading up the stadium construction in LA?

Ndamukong Suh's appeal hearing will take place tomorrow at 3 p.m. ET. Art Shell will be the appeals officer.

Not sure if thats supposed to be a clever joke but all I can picture is Art Shell sitting there with his blank expression on his face not responding to the appeal.

The Jags moving to St. Louis would suck. That would not help me at all.

LA good, San Antonio good. Anywhere else, bad!

You know there is this " Add to Favorites" thing now

It does not do quite what I want it to. But next time I'll try and actually contribute something to the thread instead of just tagging it.

Yeah, I want to add long-lasting threads to faves, not threads that expire in a week. Maybe I'll use it differently in time, though.

Unlike "tagged" threads, you can remove threads from favorites when you're no longer interested in them.

Can I do that with people?

That Orton video made my night. I actually like Orton (maybe not for my starting QB) but I was chuckling quite a bit.

For the whole tag thing. I might of come off harsher than intended. I actually don't care. Just thought you might like the new favorites thing.

Apparently Brandon Marshall was detained over not paying a cab fare?
Cabbie said he tried to skip out of a $142 fare.
Marshall says he told cab driver to bring him home and fell asleep then woke up at the airport instead.

Seems like a misunderstanding, don't know why he ended up handcuffed in a police car.

Eagles

Titans at Bills

Bengals at Steelers

Falcons at Texans

Wild card: Panthers at Bucs ... mostly just to poke at MMD. I don't think Carolina has the horses to win, but TB isn't all that good either. First team to 40 wins this one.

Yards, I assume?

Eagles at Seahawks: I don't think I've cared less about a game this season. Seahawks at home isn't a bad bet.

Titans at Bills: Bills seemed more on track last week, though I'm scared about their mediocre run defense getting chewed up. I'll take them at home after a bunch of road games. Plus, the Titans have burned me too much this season. They'll probably do it again here by not picking them.

Bengals at Steelers: Steelers.

Falcons at Texans: I've come to dislike the Falcons for some reason. I think it may be that I just don't like Matt Ryan for no apparent reason. But I think the Texans might actually have to throw the ball, so Falcons.

Wildcard: Ravens at Browns. Ravens. They better not f- this one up.

Heh.

Or runs.

From some of the murmurs coming from Jacksonville, it sounds like Jack Del Rio was a restraining force on the kind of offense Dirk Koetter wanted to run.

Now that Del Rio is gone, the gears have begun turning. Jason Hill has gone from the starting lineup to no longer on the roster. The receivers coach (LOL) has been let go too. The old quarterbacks coach is taking over as receivers coach, and Koetter has installed himself as QB coach along with his OC duties.

OK, Koetter, you've got Gabbert all to yourself for a few weeks. Make something happen.

Put Cecil Shorts in the starting lineup and see what he can do.
