Fitocracy Catch-All

As with others above, PM me your email address and I'll shoot you an invite. Ten remaining.

Joined with Floomi's link. Now I've got to find time to make it to the gym.

Howdy guys. I just joined the GWJ group on Fitocracy.

I'll offer up my remaining 9 invites if anybody wants them.

Thanks for the invite Jonman. After my Thanksgiving Pie extravaganza, I will be looking at kicking my workout goals into high gear.

Five invites remaining

First come, first served!

edit:\ If someone can let me know when the last one's gone I'll remove the link so people don't get their hopes up.

Ten invites here, if interested. PM me.

I'm in and joined, let the fitness begin! (not really begin per say, but begin to give me points!)

Alright kids - I'm out of invites. There's other folk upthread who have invites to burn through.

Let's get sweaty!

I've got six more invites - PM away

I also have a fresh batch of invites.

I've got 8 invites left so feel free to PM me.

Well, yesterday I doubled up at the dojo (attending morning and evening class) for the first time in months.

Because I knew I'd get points.

So... looks like Fitocracy will be a good kick in the pants for me.

Invites available here too. Send PM.

That's the only reason I added Renegade Rows to my weight routine.... extra points and it completed a quest. And I'm going to add Planks to the set next time, because everyone seems to be doing them Gah.

Planking really is becoming quite popular.

It also helps to see someone just ahead of you and put in an extra set hoping to catch/keep up with them.

I started adding Pendlay rows because there was a quest for it, with the delicious associated bonus points.

*Googles Pendlay Rows*

This could actually make me learn a whole bunch of new exercises. Hadn't thought of that as another consequence of the quests/accomplishments.

Is there a way to sign up for these quests? I've looked around a bit on the site, and can't seem to find anything about where the quests are.

The bottom right of your screen is a grey box. Click on 'Quests' in there.

Ah...so simple. Cheers.

Thanks for posting the invite link guys. This looks like it'll be fun.

There kind of is. I can't exactly run faster than a speeding bullet, but I can run faster than a speeding past-me.

Sure enough, as soon as I think my back is good enough for me to go to the gym, I hurt it again. I briefly considered going to the gym hopped up on pain killers but I thought better of it. This really sucks. Hopefully it'll feel better on Friday but I'm hesitant to go to the gym on the day after Thanksgiving. It seems like there would be a lot more people going then. And, I hate people.

I need an invite!

PM me, I have some left.

Anybody needing an invite can use this link to join. There are seven invites left for that link.

I'm in and ready to work out!

Does anybody know how exercises are added or suggested?

P90X has some stuff missing. I understand that for some of his...weirder...stuff, but some of this is stuff I've been doing since high school workouts after school.

Some of the exercises have very clear descriptions, but some have none at all. This makes me think that either the submission or approval process is a bit weak. I would be happy to start suggesting P90X exercises along with good descriptions if they don't make it a huge hassle. It would also be nice if they had a way of entering alternate names for an exercise, so that searching for "Good Mornings" would also bring up Roman Chair Extensions or whatever people call them. Also, labels - popular workouts like P90X, Insanity, etc should get a label so you can just bring up stuff from that.

Of course, P90X 2 is coming out next month anyway, so there will just be more (and weirder, from the looks of it) stuff coming soon anyway.
