NFL 2011 Week 11

Tampa played better than expected and Winslow had a huge statistical day, but he dropped a two-point conversion to tie the game at the start of the 4th and then had the ball bounce off his hands for Freeman's 2nd pick. First time in weeks Rodgers has looked vaguely human.

Hard to believe that's the same team the 49ers beat 48-3.

Speaking of the 49ers today... 2 blocked FGs, 1 missed FG, 2 made FG. This is some terrible offense and special teams today. If not for the defense's 2 turnovers they'd have nothing.

And there we get screwed again. Gore got that first down, but no way to challenge the spot. Dammit, Harbaugh.

And the jumbo package on 3rd and 1 might have lost yards.

Jake Locker hops in, throws 40 yard touchdown.

Maybe Tennessee's finally tired of limping along with old man Hasselbeck and trying to move toward the future a bit?

I wish.

Muncheck is Jeff Fisher Jr. That means he will always go with the aging/washed up veterans no matter what.

I think Matthew Stafford completed something like 120 percent of his passes today. That's some fierce D that Carolina has.

The only interesting factoid out of that game (if you're a Carolina fan) is that the Panthers had their first kickoff return for a TD since 2003. The previous take-it-to-the-house guy: Rod Smart of "He Hate Me" fame.

P.S. It's OK to ignore Cam Newton now. He threw for close to 300 yards (which is practically a given by now) but the Panthers got blown out on the road (which is also a given).

Way to go Norv, you're now out of timeouts.

Who replaced Norv Turner with his brother? This is the kind of crap that I saw for 3 years at UIUC with Ron Turner running the show. I thought Norv was supposed to be capable.

Then again, the Chargers have won games this season, which automatically makes them better than any team run by Ron....

I hope Tom Coughlin vociferously informs his team at halftime that they're losing to Vince Young!

Giants will win this game but not without a ton of help from the refs. Must be nice to have a Manning in your organization.

Bleh

Dear Guru,

Only if he's on the field!

Sincerely,
Indianapolis Colts

The Giants scoring looked like a sure thing until Adam Sandler got the sack/fumble.

Lol @ Collinsworth on Vince's nuts.

Vince Young just wins!

Lol

Yeah sucks for the Bears.

Who does everyone like for the battle of the Harbaughs?

Well, Flacco had a good game against Cincy, so he's gonna suck against the 49ers.

I would like to see both 52's on the field. Hope Ray Lewis's injury isn't turf toe cause that can last a long time.

Well, the 49ers have been very consistent, though I guess I just don't trust them yet; they've sucked for too long for me to completely buy in. Baltimore is either the best team in the league or a pile of suck, and I have no idea which one is going to show up at any given time. So I guess . . . 49ers? It's been a freakishly inconsistent year, so I'm pretty much giving up on guessing.

Pro Football Focus lays out the case for Daryl Smith as being one of the NFL's best linebackers.

I still can't completely trust Alex Smith. Against the Baltimore defense, the old guy might show up who has as many INTs as TDs.

I hope the 49ers win obviously. But I'm not feeling confident about it. The Cowboys aren't that good and we lost to them somehow.

I'll take Baltimore at home. Cross country trips on a short week have impact.

Helluva game tonight, huh?

I have a feeling KC is going to look like the Jayhawks playing A&M. Go Tyler Palko!

So Cutler is out for 6-8 weeks with a broken thumb. Just as the Bears were rolling to the playoffs.

See the Bears just want to even the playing field for the upcoming games. If our opponents don't have legitimate starting QBs then we don't need one either

Upcoming schedule:
Oak - Palmer
KC - Who replaced Cassel?
Den - Tebow? Against the Bears front 7? hahaha...
Sea - T. Jackson, nope
GB - Hopefully they will be locked and Rodgers will be sitting.
Min - Ponder.

See who needs a starting QB....

Even if the division is locked home field throughout might not be with the 49ers doing so well...

Also he would start the game at the very least.

Well, Blaine Gabbert continued a solid 2nd half against Indy with a solid full game against Cleveland.

Plus he thew a pass backwards. Can't forget that!

Yeah, that was... not his best moment. The throw-it-away instinct was fine, but be facing forward! At least he put enough force into the throw for the ball to make its way out of bounds.

Hey, get all the rookie mistakes out now. The tolerance level for them drops going forward.

I will say my Gabbert appreciation is slipping by the week. 41 attempts for 210 yards? Good lord, has he been promoted to Brigadier General Checkdown yet?

That's kind of the offense as designed. David Garrard threw for only 2,734 yards last year. In only 5 games did he even eclipse 200 yards.

The offense is, run with MJD, run with MJD, and occasionally throw an 8 yard slant.

At this point, the Jaguars don't have anyone capable of running down the field. It's literally the worst receiving group in the league. Dillard and Chastin West are the best hope for improvement, but they're late starts coming off of injury (in Dillard's case) or getting signed off of another team's practice squad (West).
