2011 GWJ Child's Play Fundraiser

We're doing it again!

BUY THIS:

IMAGE(http://gwj.trueheart78.com/images/2011_print.jpg)

Just like last year, all proceeds go to Child's Play.

Want to donate more than $20?
Don't want a poster but still want to contribute?

Paypal your monies to oilypenguin [at] gmail dawt com.

(I promise not to take your money and buy beer. Other people have access to that account too)

I fully endorse this.

Because I host it.

If we break $2k this year, I'm printing a novelty check to give to Child's Play.

I don't know how they would cash it or how I would mail it to Seattle, I just want to do it.

Plus we're already halfway there, Pencon raised a grand =)

We can do novelty checks

It's all coming together!

Woo! That is amazing artwork!

Will definitely buy, and if you decide to do the novelty check, let me know and I can help.

Because I drew it.

That is AWESOME. I love it.

What are the dimensions?

*EDIT*
Print size is 14" × 20"
Order by Thu, Dec 15th for
Christmas delivery
Order cut-off is Thu, Jan 5th

Preordered!

We'll have an address you can send direct donations to very shortly if you're not interested in the poster. I just need to figure out some details.

Details and address for straight donations are in the OP. I just wanted to clear it with the boss first.

This is awesome.

If you get it printed here we (Seattle collective) can go drop it by their office.

Okay I just ordered. Then realised that I am in the United Kingdom, can I donate extra to cover extra shipping?

International shipping is part of the cost but obviously that cuts into our profits a bit more.

However, we're still definitely raising money with the posters. So it's your call =)

No worries if you don't want to, though, as I said, we're covered either way.

Buy 2

I'll order one. Maybe two to help cover the shipping costs!

Done and done. This will go nicely with my (hopefully christmas gifted by my fam) Retro-games propaganda posters and the Blue Sun Travel Serenity posters. My wife will not be pleased with the directions I'm taking our house decorating.

Woot! Since you love my Oily will you frame mine before you send it? Kthxbai!

Looks like the site is down.

EDIT: It's back.

Butter up Trueheart. I just send a couple emails.

That's great, and now it is mine. Nice one, bombsfall.

Cheeto gets a tube just like everyone else. It's kind of like Log™, but empty.

Halfway to novelty check!

Um, if the goal for a novelty check is 2k, and you already have 1k... Does that mean you haven't made any money yet?

Er, no.

Eh, he knows I was being shallow and pedantic.

In the interest of keeping things shallow and pedantic:
If your goal is $2k for the novelty check, and you're halfway there without including the pencon money, that would mean you have $1k (not counting the pencon money). When you add in the pencon money, you'd have $2k, which means your goal for the novelty check is met.

Or you mean that you've raised half of the remaining $1k you need.

I HATE YOU ALL.

Full disclosure time, pencon made $970 dollars in cash after everyone was paid back and expenses were taken care of. I have that in a bank account right now. Unfortunately, paypal will probably take a sizable chunk of that when I transfer it to the paypal account. However, there was still $87 in there from people who paid late so that's around a grand for when we started the poster sale.

The paypal account is now up to $460 with another $20 pending. We're doing pretty great so keep those donations coming.

In the event we hit 2k, I'll pony up for a novelty check (because it's funny) and we'll round up a contingent of Seattle goodjers to take it to CP. Unless making (or shipping) the check is super expensive, in which case I'll just donate some more money since that's honestly a better use of the funds =)

I sent Bill Harris of Dubious Quality an email and he's going to tell people about the sale next week (good guy, great blog, you should read it). If you guys can think of another way to raise awareness, you have my blessing. If you can't give anything or want to pitch in, pounding internet pavement and getting the word out is a great place to start.

I'm just hoping my little VPS can handle the traffic...

Gorgeous. Nice work, bombsfall and everyone else involved.
