Saints Row The Third Catch-All

I'm sold on the season pass. I don't mind throwing a lot of money at this game.

I'm thinking of getting it as well. It sounds like there's a new mission/quest-line in each of those packs, so I'm guessing at a minimum of $7 for each pack you either break even or save. Not a terrible proposition. Will probably wait for Steam sales on the weapon and skin packs though.

I still want to see how this game plays on my machine before I give them any extra money though. Hopefully the season pass isn't a limited time offer.

Steam group invite, please.

AHHHHHHHHHH! Thank God I'm off tomorrow. I don't need my job getting in the way of my own personal insane asylum.

GMG email just arrived. NO CODE!

Weird. I just got the email, but it also includes this bit:

Check your GMG account page -- the SR3 key is also showing up on the "Keys" page there for me.

A couple of DLC packs have surfaced on Steam including the Season Pass, which appears to further validate the list that was leaked earlier.

Shark Attack Pack: http://store.steampowered.com/app/55... ($1.99)
Invincible Pack: http://store.steampowered.com/app/55... ($2.99)
Season Pass: http://store.steampowered.com/app/90... ($19.99)

Season Pass is the same as the one on the THQ site. Based on the price and the description I guess it only applies to content offering new missions?

I get Site Error on all 3 links

They must've went up pre-maturely. I was able to view them this morning.

RPS has posted their Wot I Think.

As I'll be playing on PC, this is all I really wanted to see:

Where Saints Row was a naff GTA copycat with added foulness, Saints Row 2 was a splendid mass of noise and substance, brutally murdered by a lazy PC conversion that saw it running more like a flick-book than game. I am pleased to report that with Volition taking over the PC coding duties for their own game this time out, it runs like an absolutely dream.

I pre-ordered awhile ago from GMG and just now got the key. I went to GMG forums and there were a lot of people complaining about not getting keys early. Seems those in Australia didn't get keys and the game has been released there. I activated the key in steam and the download is over 9G which luckily for me is about an hour and a half.

From my Amazon purchase, the codes are separate. One for retail base game, one for DLC.

If I recall correctly they handed out the Deus Ex keys a bit late too, but still early enough to pre-load. So hopefully we'll get our keys on Monday?

Almost there... almost there....

Is it weird that I always hear that phrase with Zoey's voice in my head?

No.

decrypting now!

Warning on PC: You appear to need to add your characters for download with "Add to Queue" on the saints row website if you've made previous chars. Alt-tabbing kind of borked things up for me.

Done the missions up to getting you first safe-house. Ludicrous. Just as expected. The PC controls are solid, including menu control. Pretty snazzy all around. I look forward to playing more tomorrow night after work.

It took me 5 minutes to get mine working, i had to make mine public and then add to queue. Kinda annoying but it was nice being able to skip all of the character creation.

Yeah. If I'd done character creation this evening (and I would have!) I'd still be doing that instead of having played some of the game already.

I'll be playing from around 5 EST on, so if you'd like to get it on with me, look for the group announcement. BOO, work!

My apologies. Steam never told me so, until I restarted it (and I don't do that often).

Yeah. Weird. I figured out that I should go to GMG page and see "what's up" there, so I found the key myself, but the entirety of my email was:

The game should be waiting for me at home. Is anyone else playing on the PS3?

Man, this game looks like so much fun. Looking forward to reading impressions.

Things I'm curious about:
- Controls
- How it runs on PC (SR2 ran horribly)
- Mission structure/variety

Too many games being released right now.

That RPS article linked above will answer at least one of these, and possibly two of them.
