Mount & Blade Mod Recommendations

Yeah, sounds like the Saxon one that I used to play and loved. I'll give it a whirl. Downloading now!

Thanks.

Thanks for answering though and not thinking I'm a complete moron for not knowing the subtitle of the game i've been playing and just pass me up.

Whoops, definitely not judging anyone here.

The version of the game shows up in the upper right of the launch window that pops up when you press Play in Steam. I don't have the original Mount & Blade installed, but Fire and Sword and Warband both display the version number in the upper right of the launcher.

There are even quests to obtain legendary weapons and armour. You can buy a boat and zip back and forth between Ireland and the mainland. A solid foundation for a breakaway empire (once you get that far) is Caer Manaw on the Isle of Man. It is a one town kingdom with a village that is isolated from all enemies.

Never mind. I read more closely.

Oh man, they did the LOTR mod from the original for Warband?!?!?! Great! I spent more time with that than any other mod and perhaps as much time as with the vanilla game.

Props, Prozac.

The version I'd recommend is Warband, then for mod recommendations:

For a tough game similar to vanilla with a fantasy setting and more structure
•the latest versions of Prophesy of Pendor

For vanilla warband but brought forward a few hundred years technology wise and guns that are more balanced and fun than fire and sword
•The Eagle and the Radiant Cross

And for something very different and challenging, 5th Century Britain
•Brytenwalda

+1

It is version 3.0 of the LotR mod, but still on original M&B.

Dammit ... sorta. Looks like I'll have to re-download M&B from Taleworlds ... if I can remember how.
