Ooo, I like that. Totally fits her personality, but would that serve her purpose to keep Jax close?

If it was "protecting the family", yeah maybe so.

Is anyone going to be alive or part of the club by the end of this season?

Spoiler:

Clay's toast, Juice is in too deep, Terra's gone one way or another, Unser's supposed to be dying of cancer--hard to conceive there could even be a club if half the members kill each other in an interpersonal civil war.

I am really struggling with this season. Its exciting but i fear its a bit too much.

I'm feeling the same way. I just don't see, at this point, how the club is going to survive.

This isn't the final season, is it? Scratch that, I don't want to know!

Sutter has said he imagines it being a 7 season show. Not sure how... Not only are some characters not long for that world, they haven't been too diligent with introducing new and compelling characters to fill the thinned ranks. There's only one prospect I'd recognize on sight, and I only know him as "Big Fattie".

I'm also a little let down by the way the Clay and JT tale seems to be going. I thought it was going to be something more nuanced, but I suppose I just have to accept Clay is evil. Though it'd be hilarious if:

Spoiler:

We discover Clay had JT killed because JT discovered Clay's father was black.

Clay has to die at the end of this doesn't he? I think it would feel cheap and a cop out if he didn't.

That said is there a show left without clay?

Holy f*cknuts!

My thoughts exactly. It's no longer a question of whether or not Clay is killed, but how soon.

+1

They can't kill Clay. If he dies there is no show. He may be out of the club, and on the run, but he will be alive at the end of this season. If he died who would be the show's antagonist.

Uh....wow. What an episode.

Man, I'd love to see Clay in prison, or somehow marginalized but still around. At this point, though, like a lot of you, I don't see it happening.

But, we can take

Spoiler:

Tara off the deathwatch list, unless Sutter feels particularly spiteful. Crippling her accomplished the same thing killing her would have--cutting off one of Jax's escape routes.

agree with all the sentiments posted about last night... wow.

If you want to get some insight into Kurt Sutter's (the man behind the show) thoughts on this week's episode, and a little about what is coming this season, head over to: Kurt Sutter Season 4 Episode 10: Hands/ Needless to say, spoilers about this episode, not much really spoiler-y about the remaining season.

I have to say, there can absolutely be a show without Clay. It will be a very different show without him, but there is still enough there to keep the show interesting. The original idea was a Motorcycle Club version of Hamlet, though, so I am expecting a bloodbath at the end.

Ok so I have a question:

Spoiler:

At the end of the episode last night when Gemma says:

"He's gonna die by the hand of the son"

Do you think that Jax might actually be Clay's son? I know it sounds like a weird question, but it was just the way that she said it that got me thinking.

Distinction: She said, "...hand of a [S|s]on." The capitalization is open to interpretation.

Now you understand my disgust at you when I logged on to steam after and you still hadn't watched it.

Spoiler:

I had to watch that last scene 12 times to make sure they didnt pull a Juice again, with the subtle tree breaking noise as they faded to black. That MoFo is dead

As much as I wish that were true, I doubt it. How could they have a show without Clay?

Spoiler from the next week scenes, or how i saw it atleast

Spoiler:

I saw the first scene of him yelling get a Dr. But then in a later flash they showed 2 things that sold me on him dead, 1 Unser staging a crime scene at what looks like a Gas station (hopefully in or near Charming heights knowing his death shut that down would give him some closure as he burns in biker hell) and 2 Jax in a quick scene pinning the hit on LaRoy

Spoiler:

I've got the episode on I-tunes, so I can do the whole Costner-Kennedy assassination bit:

He doesn't get shot through the heart, so he's not immediately dead. Still looks pretty serious. Like, bilateral lung wound serious.

Spoiler:

I watched the ending and the preview again a few times. Nothing in there indicates that Clay is dead. Unser's scene could be anything, and Jax says he was "gunned down", which doesn't mean dead. I'm betting he's in critical condition and unconscious, but not dead.

one of the preview scenes show him dead propped up against a wall with more bullet holes than the first 2

!!! SPOILER IMAGE - Click !!!

Spoiler:

That scene looks like the garage next to the clubhouse and, though his eyes are closed, there's nothing to conclusively indicate that he's dead. Unser is crouching down next to him, but that could either be to stage the body or to get closer and hear him speak. I don't see the bullet holes you're talking about and the only other scene that Clay's in is when Jax is holding him yelling for an ambulance. I just don't think there's enough information in the preview to be sure one way or the other.

Spoiler:

thought the blood stains were additional shot wounds. still looks dead or maybe like you say dying and giving last words.

Besides it makes perfect sense for him to be the one that leaves. I've been surprised that the show has gone this long carrying his pay rate. With him gone it opens up more places to go story wise.
