WOW- BHA guild offer and info

Everyone's main toon gets free repairs up to the daily cap.

Welcome, Pikey. Once I get back from PenguinCon and get all set up I can promote your to the main rank. Unless Cheeto sees this first, anyway.

I will check tonight to make sure you did it, otherwise I can

I'm back into WoW again, with my 85 Arcane Mage Chuda, and some other characters I'm leveling (68 Blood DK, 68 Arms Warrior, 62 Boomkin, 22 Demon Warlock and 20 MM Hunter) I'm interested in doing some getting-up-to-speed raids with Chuda and the guild, but I'm really clueless about gear requirements. I suppose I need to do random dungeons for a while to get geared up? According to wow-heroes that's all my pathetic gear is good for.

When's a good time to be on for dungeons? Where should I start?

BK, just post your availability in this coming week's raid thread. I'll see what I can do to get you into a raid. No gear requirement at all. Though you may be fighting Merphle for loot since you are both clothies.

Welcome back! Make sure you get mumble installed and running before a raid night.

Don't worry, BK... my Need roll is deceptively low.

Anyone want to PM me a scroll of resurrection code?

Bunch of bums that don't want a free month. I got a code off some random dude on the Hardocp forums.

Aw poo! I'd have done it, but I'm usually not on the forums during the weekend.

BTW, I've created a little Altaholic. (She's just like her dad.) Lil'Bean has a bunch of characters up to 20. She gets up to where she can get a mount then starts a new character. Unfortunate thing is that my characters are tied to hers, I can only play them with her corresponding character. She doesn't want me to out-level her. So they sit till she wants to play them again. It's OK, I'm just happy to be gaming with her and enjoy it so much. And it gives me a chance to try new classes. I do have a rogue, Slycke, that I play independant from her and I'm really enjoying that class.

I tried but I wasnt fast enough.

I just joined the guild as Soldursoul and so did my son as Wildfeather. We are just level 10 now but I am hoping to jump the levels quickly. If anyone would like to group up and if we are on feel free to hit us up.

I just still can't decide if I want to move one of my mains on Cairne over or not. How is the raid roster as it stands now? I have a tank and DPS that I can move if needed, I would just like to know if I could fill a spot that needs filling to make the move easier. I just warn you I have not raided any Caty raids yet. I am an experienced raider. I am just upset that I could not establish myself with a group on Cairne. Everyone there as far as PuG Raids want people with the achievements already and that know the fights. What I don't get is how can a person have the achievments and know the fights if no one is willing to give them a chance to join the damn raids. Are they supposed to magically get awarded the achievement or something. I know I am ranting and there is nothing I can really do, it just bugs me and I felt like venting a little.

At the end of the day we want you to be playing whatever class/role that you want. It tends to keep players around, and enjoying themselves, longer.

With that said, we do not have any Warlocks or SPriests, and we have very few STR-based DPS classes that sign up regularly. We have a plethora of healers, and far too many Shaman. Tanks are always nice to have around, but we have two tank mains and two decent tank alts that get abused regularly.

We have some minor holes in the roster currently, but nothing that is keeping us from progressing.

Well that is cool I can shift over my 80 Warlock. I have been meaning to level that one up but I got busy playing with my son to really solo level a higher level toon. I will definitely think about it. I am messing with Soldursoul and liking the warlock thing again, although it is interesting not to have a full bag of shards anymore. I stopped playing the 80 shortly after the change over to the new play mechanics so it is a like I am learning the class all over again.

You don't want to run with those folks. More trouble than they're worth.

What Lawk said about picking a class you want to play is right on. Melee DPS is having a relatively rough time in Cata (or, more precisely, I'm having a relatively tough time in Cata with my ret paladin). But at the end of the day when I need to punch something in the pixlated mouth there's nothing more fun than a 3 holy power Templar's Verdict. BOOM.

My turn to chime in. Play a class that you enjoy. We get stuff done, but we want people to enjoy themselves. Our raid environment is probably not like most. We screw off, we laugh, we make fun of well ... me, and we get most things done. We try to help those who wish to learn. We don't put up with folks that are asshats. We value respect. We have a bunch of amazing people in GWJ Alliance. All we ask is that you try your best, enjoy yourself, help others out, and be mindful that your actions impact 9 others you will be raiding with. If that sounds ok to you, we'd love to have you in whichever form you choose to play.

- grinds... guild scapegoat.

Grinds, I'd say that you are wise beyond your years, but, lets face it, you've got a lot of years under your belt. You are about as wise as I'd expected an aged man like yourself to be.
This may, or may not, be what Tundra is talking about. I'm not too sure.

I'm pretty sure before going to penguincon, most would have envisioned me as a 900 year old sage (yeah right). Then you all find out that I'm just a 38 year old dork. And don't use that super small font, I don't want to use bifocals yet.

"I was out and they pulled me back in" I logged in last night and saw blissfully that Aly was still guilded! I'll take this week to get up to speed again but hopefully can get back into the raid rotation, unless they've broken kitties in the interim.

Thadryn is back in as well, but probably won't raid much (if at all). Dragonfly decided she'd like to play WoW again, so here we are!

I've also started a Worgen hunter named Rantyn (random name!), and will primarily be playing him. May get him guilded if there's room at the inn, though I wouldn't want to cause confusion.

If anyone is looking for a free month I'm most likely renewing this weekend if you'd like to send a Scroll of Resurrection. Going to check things out again to help make a decision about doing the whole year/Diablo plan renewal. Aphesian on Blackhand.

I have a L85 Worgen Warlock on another server; I was thinking of transferring her to BH to join the guild anyway. I'll bring her over as soon as I get a chance (may have to wait until next week, not sure).

Well, that's way easier than my method.

FYI - GWJ Alliance is missing only FIVE L85 race/class combinations before getting the Stay Classy achievement, and therefore being able to buy the 8th guild bank tab. Is anyone currently working on leveling any of these? I'll update this post with your comments, so we can keep track and avoid duplication of effort.

Dwarf Rogue
Worgen Rogue

Kyanite's a Dwarf, although it'll probably be post-4.3 before he gets there (since they're dropping exp requirements for Northrend and I'll probably wait at 70 until that happens).

Also, Ebonthorn's a Worgen, and Lady K's working on that one (slowly). We'll see if she gets there.

I have a gnome deathknight that I have absolutely no compunction or motivation to get to 85. Does that help?

merphle wrote:

Funny. I've been eyeing the same thing.

Isengrim is my gnome DK. He's at 74 and is making his way to 85. I'll take that slot.

I have a worgen warlock who is on the server but not in the guild. He's in his mid 40s. And I'm getting together gear to play a rogue of some sort. But leveling those to max are well in the future.

One thing to keep in mind: To get the achievement, your toon has to be lvl 85 (duh) and honored with the guild. Even if you move a max-level toon from somewhere else, you still have to grind out guild rep. Lower-level toons ought to wear one of the guild tabards available from the guild vendor.

My Worgen rogue is BoA decked out and sitting at 52.

It is who I am kinda getting into atm, maybe I will try a little harder.

I updated the list -- looks like we're in pretty good shape... just need to get moving on these guys.

Not at all.

Next time you're in game, Merph, check the what-we-need list. I think we're still short a worgen DK.

Nope, that's covered by Dalyyra.

For some of the guild achievements, if you mouse over the shield on the right side (the one that shows how many achievement points it's worth), it'll show you what players contributed to that achievement. Generally the ones that show it are the ones that have the different check marks, and it'll show which players completed which check mark - things like "earn exalted with the following dungeon reputations" and "get the following race/class combinations to level 85". It also works for the "Guild Dungeon Run" achievements, showing which people from the guild were in the initial run that earned the achievement.

People not in the guild anymore (or who don't exist anymore) don't show up on the list, so there are a few of the achievements that are clearly missing contributing people.

That's what I get for not logging on for a few days. Grats to Dal for hitting 85. And grats for us for killing 100K critters. Creepy Crate FTW!

Yeah, I polished off the last ~3500 missing critters from that Monday night while waiting for trick-or-treaters... only took 2 hours in Deeprun Tram, killing rats.
