When the official trailer for the film version of Silent Hill first appeared, various online gaming forums clamoured to do what they have always done, and nitpick the hell out of it.
It may not be a name that strikes fear into the hearts of the wicked, but good writing comes in all forms and degrees of cuddliness. Actually, with a unique voice and a clear passion for games, kuddles (mind the lower-case k, now) is a proud addition to the front-page crew.

I once painted Morrolan's picture blue and said he had Smurf cancer, just to spite him. I'm almost tempted to leave it at that, but it wouldn't be doing enough honor to a man who has stuck with the site through thick and thin for nearly three years now. Well known for his Smurf fetish, Morrolan also hates cats and prefers living in mushroom houses.
Normally I'd give this week's Game of the Week to the Galactic Civilizations II expansion, but I know we have a strong cadre of gamers who seethe and boil when I give GOTW to an expansion, so I'm going to keep their heads from exploding just this one time.
Avatar: The Last Airbender for the Wii is a mediocre game according to much of the gaming press. I'm not too surprised. Congratulations to Momgamer, who comes to us with an impressive writing pedigree, a no-nosense quality of writing and a unique perspective and voice.
