\"Ninja\" Students In Trouble...
City Centre Spooked by 'Ninja' StudentsBy Alison Purdy, PA News
A group of teenagers dressed as ninjas sparked a security alert in a busy city centre, police said today.
The six teenagers who were dressed head to toe in distinctive black Japanese warrior outfits were stopped by police in the Lion Yard car park in Cambridge city centre on Wednesday afternoon.
They told police they were practising for a student video they were planning to film.
A police spokeswoman said the group, who described themselves as street acrobats, were given a few words of warning and advised not to walk around dressed in black and wearing balaclavas as passers-by may be alarmed.
One eye witness told the Cambridge Evening News: "It was ridiculous to believe these kids were anything more than street performers.
"I was just dumbfounded by the police response and the reaction of some American tourists who seemed to think al Qaida were about to attack."
Sadly, no pictures, since watching a bunch of gangly college students do Kung-Fu badly and seeing people look at them like they're about to blow up the Golden Gate bridge... he'll, they should just use the encounter with the police as the Student Film.

"PEACE ON EARTH. GOOD WILL TO MEN. PUBLIC SHELTER. ADMISSION 50¢"
According to the only authentic source on ninjas, namely, the movies American Ninja I, II and III, ninjas prefer to attack in plain daylight while dressed completely in black, which corresponds perfectly with this story.
Also, according to American Ninja series, ninjas wear devices in their sleethes which double as a grappling hook and a military grade laser.
Oh Man!! I actually saw this!!!
I was coming out of game which is in the shopping centre they were at.
I cant beleive people thought they were terrorists! It was pretty obvious they were just students arsing around. I mean, there are a ton of university campus''s in Cambridge. I didn''t see the american tourists who thought they were Al Qaida though.
At least around here in the South USA, a balaclava is standard clothing for people committing criminal activities, and isn''t worn by anyone else. I could understand people getting a bit freaked out seeing a large group of people running around doing strange things with them on.
Everything can be debated, but that doesn't necessarily mean it's debatable.

People are idiots. Some people have so bought into the fearmongering that a couple of kids can''t even mess around anymore.
When i was a kid, we used to play ''guns'' all the time around my neighborhood. We had plastic guns and chased each other pretending to shoot one another. Much fun was had by all, no one got hurt, and we all turned out ok.
Try and get away with that in some places these days and you''d have the cops breaking up a ''gang war'' or some such nonsense.
I am so f*cking glad I live in Canada I can hardly stand it.

you know, as stupid as some people are, i don''t believe the part about ''american tourists thinking they were al Qaida.'' if it happened IN america, the morons here would have thought they were training for a Colombine deli counter slice up, were on drugs, or were clinically insane.
it''s illegal to have fun these days, i guess. i''m glad my teenage pyromania was in the 80s, so i could get away with it as mischief.

Hell you can''t even get a decent plastic gun toy anymore. They''re all orange and stuff. How you supposed to be camoflaged in that? Black spraypaint is your childs friend. Works on lasertag equipment too.
Do you ever walk alone like a drifter in the dark?
Do they have toy guns in Canada?
