Hey this just started too. I guess if you paid the money for the WoW stress test you might as well pick this up to. I'm kinda unexcited cause it uses the UT2004 engine but it is Tribes which is very exciting.

Yeah I just got on a server to try thing out. There were about 40 servers up but most of them had 1 player. There were about 5 that had 10-12 people.
EDIT: If someone wants to put up a server maybe a few of us could get on and mess around for awhile. I''m bored and not going out tonite so I need something to do. Post the IP in here if you put one up.

I love this new thing FP is doing, they can''t give away your info but instead they will force you to fill out a form that goes directly to the company to get the dl...they even require you to fork over your age. No wonder they get all the exclusives they are perfectly happy to rape you and sell whats left. Feh. Hope folks lie like sh*t and least make all that data that not be required worthless.

Cool, glad I signed up for a month at Fileplanet. I''ve got this, RO beta 3.0 and WoW beta, all in one night. Wish I would of seen this one before I went out. Ah well, downloading it now.
It is soooo good. Graphics are top notch and the playability is outstanding, but the real treat is the care and attention the developers took with the interface. It is polished, easily accessible and intuitive. In particular the voice commands and the ""quick inventory"" interface.
I have to admit, I was skeptical of the game (in particular the grappling hook aspect), but I am sold. And the grappling hook is very fun.

As for the game, it''s really, really fun so far. If you love Tribes I think this may turn out to be the best of the three. They''ve really refined the concept and made some really smart design decisions.

Yeah I played for about 45 minutes and was enjoying myself. I can''t wait to see what this will be like with several others on at the same time. I really enjoyed the first Tribes game and this one feels a lot like it with enough new stuff to make it worth while playing again.

Sorry that I logged in to the server and then abruptly left. I''m running a Radeon Mobility 9000 in my laptop and Tribes just beat the holy heck out of it. If anyone sets up a server this weekend I''d definately be interested in giving this a try on my desktop.

Well, I think Certis and I played it for about 2 hours or so and I''m still getting a feel for it. I''m not very accurate with the spinfusor, unfortunately, so more often than not Certis had his way with me (the brute). That being said, a couple of well placed mid-air hits does wonders for the adrenaline.
