I''m gonna borrow a copy of this one from work, so I''ll be playing it on Live for a few days at least.

If you don''t mind, where do you work that you can borrow games? I''m sure you mentioned this somewhere before, but don''t remember.
I work at the corporate behemeoth known in your tongue as ''GameStop'' as I pay my way through ''college.''

After I painstakingly type in the names of all of my beloved Oklahoma Sooners, I will be heading online.
I did this a couple of years ago, but I don''t know that I will this year. Why? I don''t know any of my players (this is FSU, by the way)! When I was at school and even a couple of years following, I could have told you the entire line-up including 2nd and 3rd string. Now I don''t even know who''s chunking the ball for us this year, who our top running back is or who the linebackers are. Now, stick a hockey stick in their hands and put a Hurricanes jersey on them and I''ll tell you their wife''s name and how many kids, but I just don''t keep up with my football any more .

Ah, thanks. And I assume of course after you ""borrow"" the game, it gets sold as used?
LG, if you wish to assume that, I can do nothing to stop you.

Barring change in policy, the employee borrow program has been in place with Software Etc. and Gamespot for at least six years. And, yes, they are sold as new. However their condition and completeness are supposed to be monitored by the store manager, supposedly ensuring that every game is sold in like new condition. Additionally, many types of games (most often those where you must subscribe to play) are off limits.
JMJ where are you picking up your copy? Is it on shelves today or tonight?
Can anyone give a rundown of the new worthwhile features over last year''s version? Besides Live support of course. I am debating picking it up, but still have 2004 sitting on my shelf.
Then why don''t we kind of pick our teams and when we have enough, I''ll set up the tourney on live. My team is the defending national champs, LSU of course from where I graduated in ''83.

This could be the Golden Gophers'' year. You have a great pair of running backs (Marion Barber and Laurence Maroney) and an impressive sophomore QB (Bryan Cupito).
If your defense lives up to the hype it generated in spring practices, they could go far. Plus, their record last year was what...10-3? Not shabby.

Yeah, but we lost our star QB, who could both toss the ball with surprising accuracy, but was a distinct running thread. I''m not convinced about Cupito. Barber is, of course, a star, but if we can''t move the ball down the field, then I''m not sure Barber''s going to have the same kind of year. Add to that the fact that defenses were split last year defending against the traditional rush, a QB scramble rush, and of course, the pass, I''m afraid the Gophers might be stymied this year.
Played several games last night. WR have a hard time catching ANYTHING, but all in all it''s a solid update. Never play on easiest level. I tried it and Army beat Oklahoma 68-0. Time to up the difficulty level...
I''ve heard that they''ve implemented the ""stadium"" or ""home field advantage"" factor, where a QB can get rattled by the noise the crowd makes. They ranked Neyland Stadium #1 in crowd noise. What a travesty!

Got mine this morning. Hopefully the fan-created rosters for xbox will be out by tonite according to mvprosters.com. Another advantage to having a modded xbox! Or sharkport if thats your thing.

But doesn''t having a modded Xbox prevent you from playing on Xbox Live?

Travesty? Come stay at my house this fall and go to a game in Neyland with me and you will be changing your tune rather quickly.

I just don''t know man. I went to Death Valley to see Auburn/LSU last year. That was downright intimidating! Standing in the south endzone, it seemed like you could almost ""see"" the waves of sound as they hit you! There''s just no other way to describe it.
Football season last year was abysmal for me; I went to Auburn/USC, too. The uptick is that at least I got to see national champions play. Nope, don''t think I''ll be contributing to the University in the form of ticket sales this year. I''m still recovering.

Count me in Sim. Pick your team and prepare to hear Boomer Sooner played a LOT.
I''ll have it tonight, and will probably be online. My gamertag is Wabu.

I''ll be picking this one up, but won''t be able to play much until next week.
JMJ, you''re getting it tonight?

I can''t help that I chose my alma matter based on academic success and not athletic prowess. Oh, who am I kidding they''re terrible.
I may have to take the other major University I attended: Auburn.

Mine has a switch that boots to the original dashboard that works fine with live. Just flip the switch, put in your game and thats it.
