Ten Hours in Middle Earth
Prove you are worthy of your Fanboi of Middle Earth title by stopping by one of these participating theaters on Tuesday, December 16 to watch the Special Extended Edition of the Lord of the Rings trilogy. Thrill to the extended remix of Fellowship of the Ring. Wallow in the special huge edition of The Two Towers. Then sway to the first screenings of The Return of the King! You, too, can gorge upon 10 hours of Aragorn and Fenderblast or whatever the rest of their names are. There are also screenings of the extended versions individually, but you have to turn in your hardcore Tolkein badge at the box office.

I can't say that I'm a hardcore fanboy of this movie but I do like this movie, and watching the whole thing might be fun. Besides 10hr is nothing, it's like watching Anime series in one shot. Been there, and keep on doing it.

The Trilogy Tuesday showing here in Austin sold out almost immediately. I tried to get tickets, to no avail. Ah well.
I actually got a ticket for a triple feature, but only because there were no double sessions available. Going to watch TTT again (haven't seen it since it came out last year) and RotK, but definitely not the first one.
Yep, here in the RTP area, the tickets sold out in 5 minutes. I didn't get any, but I'm not sure that's such a bad thing. I mean.. damn. Who the hell can sit in a theater for 10+ hours? In the immortal words of Cartman: OW, MY ASS.

I could probably do this at a really good drive in but being stuck inside with people like that all day would just rub me the wrong way. I couldn't handle it. I think I'd also need some liquor handy

I bought my pair of tickets for me and the girlfriend. It's not showing here in Cedar Rapids, but Davenport has a theater participating. Anyone else in the area is welcome to join us.
