Five More Nintendo Games Go Player's Choice

Nintendo has added five more games to their Player's Choice discount series, according to PGC. Now you can pick up the following games for $29.99.

  • Star Wars Rogue Squadron 2: Rogue Leader
  • Agent Under Fire
  • Spider-Man
  • Sonic Adventure 2 Battle
  • Resident Evil
Not a whole lot there that appeals to me that I don't already have, but I'm a huge fan of discounting older titles. I think they may have waited a little too long for the first run, though. I waited and waited and waited for Pikmin to drop. By the time it did, I had just lost interest.

$30 for these games is $10 to much for me.  I don't understand why Nintendo doesn't price there Player's Club games more competitively with PS2 classic games.  It irritates me to see a company strugling for market share in the console arena over pricing there old games.  I would buy used and save $10 - $15 or e-bay new before spending $30 retail for these.

Because third-party games don't sell that well on GC already the way it is now. The lower the price of games such as Luigi's Mansion or SSBM, the worse it gets for 3rd-party companies.

That absolutely makes sense and I am glad you pointed this out.  The fact still remains though that $30 is too much for games that are sold old you can find them that cheap new or really close to it already.
