200th show. With Ken Levine. and a Rabbit interview...

AND new Bioshock stuff? Dear god.

I can't wait until more info starts rolling out. I loved how Rapture condemned Randian ideals (with the city being crushed by immense pressure). Columbia seems to be taking the idea of the "City on a Hill" to its extreme, calling up parallels to the space race's nationalistic goals.

I wonder if it will also serve as a critique to current politics.

What an awesome world.

It was Rabbit's piece on the original Bioshock that first brought me to GWJ. I'm anxiously awaiting listening to them talk about Bioshock Infinite (I hope there are no spoilers. I never played Bioshock despite buying it... twice)

For Episode 250, I want a review of Mechwarrior, an interview on Descent 4 and comments on Ubisofts plan to abandon DRM in favor of a general free-to-play model. Please?

I'm sure it was quite fun to record.

One thing that set Letters from Whitechapel apart from other hidden-movement games: The cards to pick the police chief for each day are pictures of real policey Bill types from back then, each with his own awesome mustache.

Isn't it adorably modest how he name-drops Thief as "a game I did a long time ago", like he was NOT talking about one of the most influential games of all times?

You mention board games on Surface, and I'm interested in this: how exactly would a game like BSG work? It's critical that each player's cards remain secret for this game to function at all - is there any facility for that? Does it sync up to your phone or something to display private information only to the user?

Many, if not most, non-trivial board games rely on some degree of secrecy, so I'm interested in how this would be handled.

Haven't listened to this week's podcast yet, but... wow! No wonder you had to wait until today to release it. Rabbit interviews Ken Levine about the game that they JUST announced? Amazing! You guys prove yet again that you have The Premier Gaming Podcast. Can't wait to hear it!

You cards appear face down, then there is a little cardboard shield you can put in front of the cards which the Surface detects and displays your cards face up. Since the shield is in place, the other players can't see it. Seemed to work pretty neat.

Looks like this:

It's a bit finicky. The one you can see clearest isn't working. But to fix it, all you have to do is drag the shield a bit. You can kind of see it on the one on the right.

I get the feeling from the interview so far that either there is going to be some surprising connection between Bioshock and this game that he is trying not to spoil until we play the game or its just a marketing ploy. Stick the Bioshock logo on the game and it might sell more.
