Awesome. Thank you, anonymous. GWJ is a Good Place.

Could I get an invite to the Steam group when someone sees this and has a chance?

You should provide us a link to your steam account, makes it easier.

Edit: It seems that I can play TF2 alright (my ping on the stan server was in the 50's last I checked), so I'm tentatively in provided I'm not working. My schedule is erratic, so I may or may not be able to make it. If arbitrary days are chosen, I may be able to tell you if I can play or not.

It's been years since I've played, so I don't remember most (if any) of the maps, so I may require some verbal hand-holding. I prefer playing the medic or heavy, so if I go medic, It's easy enough for me to just follow the big dudes around doing my thing.

Bumping for more signups, probably closing tomorrow at night.

Okay, I'm in!

So far Mex, it looks like we can have 6 teams of 12 with several spares just from your last update of the original post.

Just a thought, but if your want to go tournament bracket style then 8 teams works better. They may be smaller (10?) but the math works better for pairing teams.

It's only a suggestion, this is your show.

I'd like to chip in a few bucks for the prize pool. Is sending you money via PayPal the best way to handle contributing?

I'm in. Oh, am I ever IN.

I'd also like to donate to the prize pool, let me know how I can.

Also, if you need organizational help of any kind, just let me know. Best way to reach me is through IRC in my signature.

People still use IRC?

We average a bit under 50 Goodjers on a weekly basis. Day to day we're around 40. We have at least a few Goodjers active at all hours thanks to our Asian, European, and Australian contingent.

Count me in

Sign me up. I haven't joined the TF2 group on Steam yet, but I posted my invite request on the Steam thread earlier.

Well we're in this together

I think a team of 10 is a good sized team and it would be easier to organize, but 12 man teams are a lot of fun too and I think most people voted for that. I'll round up the final list this evening, if anyone has suggestions for choosing between 10 or 12 man teams they're appreciated.

Maybe we can be like those other "tournaments" that have been setup in the past that Valve let them have custom ingame medals! Get to it Mex!

If there are in game medals then I'm in.
Damn my consumerism!

Oops, disregard.

Consolation prize:

As I stated a few pages ago, definitely split up the top hard core guys (you have a pretty good idea who they are Mex). After that, go random like Dimmer did for the Seals match, do an offline draft with the Captains, draw names from a hat, roll a 10 sided die for each, or whatever. Put us somewhere and don't tell us how we got there.

You may want to start by just declaring the captains and working out the details with them. That being said, I do not wish to be one myself.

Any idea of when games will be scheduled? Weekends? Fridays? I can commit to weekends/fridays but nothing during the week.

Count me in please! Teammate, can't commit to captain.

Maybe we should leave match scheduling up to the teams? Teams will be responsible for playing their matches at some time during the week?

I should see if people are up for forming a Studio Rumble team for this. =D

Ooh - it'd be great to have a team or two from the SR community in the summer league. Mex, can you keep signups open through the end of the week?
