No! I wrote a post about it in the "random stuff I love" thread!

This weekend is Daylight Savings Time. While I dislike losing an hour of my weekend, the morning sun has been encroaching on my sleeping time; it'll be good to get both one more hour of darkness in the morning for the price of another hour of sunlight in the evening.
I get up for work at 5:30 am. I've just begun to see a reasonable amount of daylight before leaving the house. Now I'll be getting up and leaving in the dark again, as well as getting up an hour earlier. You and your morning sun sleepy time can suck it.

I hate this part too. I love it when the seasons change and the days get longer, but getting up when it's still pitch black out sucks. I wake up more easily and feel better in the morning if it's been getting light out before my alarm goes off. After a few short weeks of getting up to daylight, this will stick me right back into pitch black for another month or two.

haha, I don't roll out of bed till 6:45 am, and even though I'm on the west side of my time zone, the sun's already peering through the slats when my alarm goes off and the dogs give me the "3 minutes to let us out or else" dance. Given the ~hour difference between us, that puts your "wake up to sunlight" close to what mine was 3-4 weeks ago. And no, at that time, I was NOT ready for more darkness in the morning.
I refuse to wake up before the sun is shining. I don't mind daylight savings time when I get an extra hour to sleep in, but this waking up earlier thing I just ignore. Do. Not. Like.
EDIT: Amen!

I get up for work at 8AM. I love the fact that I get extra hours of daylight in the evening with DST.
You DST Haters can go straight to hell, it's not my fault you have to go to bed at 8PM to wake up freakishly early and can't appreciate some extra sunlight in the evening!
I honestly don't understand early risers. You people might as well be Cylons or some whole other species to me.
Let me clarify. I just hate the time change in general, regardless of which one it is. Just split the difference and move the damn thing 30 minutes and then leave it the hell alone.

Hey, someone's gotta get the worm. 5am here. I love being off work before school is out. Huzzah!
Now that I have two little girls (2 years and 10 months), I love the idea of more daylight towards the end of the day so I can play outside with them when I get home from work.

And it seems you like to do things fast. You made intern in 3 days and 1 hour! That could put you within tagging distance in less than 8 weeks if you keep your pace.

With you all the way, buddy. DST was driving me up the wall last fall when the needs of our national retailers for a longer afternoon daylight shopping meant I had to wake up in darkness.

Oh, sorry. Just as the Cylons had no choice in being Cylons, so to do you have no choice in your early rising. But it also means that I am hell-bent on your destruction, early riser. Sorry in advance!

Eff that. I want every single day to have slightly more or less hours than the one before it, on a schedule created by the Minister of Time (a position appointed by the President of Everything).
And that schedule should be created no more than 2 days in advance.
The time change always disrupts my kid's sleep schedule, making it a nuisance. I also routinely forget which weekend it falls on and inevitably end up early/late the next day, feel like an idiot when I remember and then update the clocks and make the adjustment.

You do realize they're going to get up before you and kill you in the dark of early morning. Oh the irony of your Daylight Savings Time.
Edit: I haven't actually noticed DST in a while. I use my cell phone as my only alarm/clock, and it updates automatically (my computer also updates automatically). My sleep schedule is pretty erratic anyway, so adding or losing an hour here or there doesn't register.

I leave my house a little earlier than that too. Hate DST for about a week, until the loss of that hour settles in.
