GDawg, I kindly ask that you holdoff on playing your game in case we decide as a league to allow someone to take over the Dolphins and the Bills this season. My hope is to roll this league every 4 to 5 days. If schedules permit.
Grump, I am available today and tomorrow before 5pm EST to play our game.

Just a quick comment on Maxox, since I just caught up on these threads. As someone who has been the commissioner for 3 successful APF2k8 seasons and 2 that petered out, I will say that it's VERY hard. We had some of the same problems in those leagues. People not getting their games in fast enough, etc. And this inherently leads to a loss of momentum for a game. Especially in this community. If the pace of the league slows down enough eventually people will start playing the new hotness, some other game, and will forget about the league.
I was actually more available last week than people realize. Yes, Kush and I flew past each other a couple time by minutes to an hour, but I was also online for long stretches ready to play. I was checking the message board frequently. Eventually I just reached the same point as Maxox (although minus the commish frustrations). I wasn't having fun with the game itself. I was fighting to enjoy the game. I had people telling me I needed to practice to get better. I hate to go all Allen Iverson, but "practice, we're talking about practice?"
Sure, I played some practice games in APF2k8, but I never really practiced. I just suited up and played. That's fitting for a "gamer with a job". Anyway, I guess my point is that it's damn hard to see a football league through to the end. The commissioners of Madden should be commended. We had a much harder time in All Pro Football, I think, because we were so loose about how long the weeks ran. It was just my style running the leagues. I was a facilitator, not a dictator. Sometimes you need someone to take the reins, though.
So I will say good luck. Run the league you want to run and if it's fun, don't play, and if it continues to be fun, then stick with it. In the end, this is all supposed to be fun and shouldn't lead to people being angry at each other.

XBL says you're playing MLB 2K10 so I sent you a message. Play in 10?

The new hotness always gets me. I started playing a lot of NHL 10, as the Olympics got me interested again. But now MLB 2K10 has dropped, and I'm spending a ton of time on that. So football just kind of slides in interest at this point of the year.
I will say that it was feeling like more of a grind, but that game against Grump last week has me pumped again. Hopefully that holds for awhile. I'm kind of ready to just wait and see what Madden 11 brings to the table.

I know, it's sad that I never gave a damn about Tim Tebow. And he never gave a damn about me.
Does anybody have any votes on leaving it at 6 and moving on or recruiting 2 more people to stay with 8 members?
Maxox made suggestions to invite emill0408, Iridium and FFJack. Obviously, only 2 of them.

I have FFJack this week in 1.0, and Emill0408 the following week (what are the odds, right?), I can give my assessment, but I've received no complaints about either one of them.
And I think Iridium could be a good owner if he's willing to commit. I think SpyNavy can vouch how tough he is, I never have seen SpyNavy need a last minute FG to win a game, it's usually over by halftime. I think Kolbo was the only other exception in the Super Bowl, it was 14-7 before Spy put up a 35pt 4th quarter.

Wanted to put this in a seperate post, good game the other day Grump. Two unfortunate events lead me to believe that our next matchup will yeild a different outcome. First you took a 7-0 lead, and we lost connection, most likely due to my sub-par wireless Comcast connection. In the 2nd start, losing Adrian Peterson on your 3rd offensive play really didn't help your cause. Always a pleasure to play against you, looking forward to the rematch.

I will send Iridium and emill0408 PMs to see if they want to join the league and go from there.
I am to assume that everyone is in agreement to get 2 more people for the league quickly rather than wait around.

I have not heard from Iridium or emill about joining the league. GDawg. Go ahead and play your game and we will move on to the next week.
emill has decided not to join the sim league. I will ask another person from the 1.0 league. most likely FFJack.
