Stargate Resistance - The pre-MMO warmup?
Official release date: February 10th
I've been a big Stargate fan since the beginning, and even liked the crazy movie it all started from, so I've been not-so-patiently waiting for some kind of game.
News of a Stargate MMO has been out there forever, but the announcement of Resistance was a bit of a surprise (at least to me). They claim the MMO is still coming along fine, so I'm not sure what the sudden (?) release of this game means for the other project. Early reviews of the MMO combat-system had me skeptical they could pull it off anyway, so I'm actually very excited for this.
Unfortunately, this is coming at a bad time (Star Trek Online wooooo!), so I'm not sure about spending the cash on it right away. If anyone else is planning to pick it up though, I'd be highly appreciative of their impressions.
They are strapped for cash and I heard they are trying to cash in on some of the work they have already done for the MMO. I am not sure if this is one hundred percent accurate.
I hope it succeeds and we see more stargate projects being made.
