I'm downloading it for PC right now... Gamersgate released it today. Too bad I download at under 100 kb/s from them. Probably won't be finished until tonight, which is okay anyways because I have to go to work soon.
Awesome. The new My Player game is a lot of fun. I haven't been able to get the Online part working yet though... I couldn't connect for a few days, and yesterday I finally connected, NBA Today worked, but I couldn't see any games online, although it said something like 1000+ players connected. They are still ironing out some of the bugs.
Also, apparently carrying over from 2K9, there is some problems with sound in Vista and Win7... I think because they use EAX and DirectX sound exclusively, unless you use Alchemy with a SoundBlaster card, you may get intermittent ball dribbling and running sounds.
Other than that, games a lot of fun, it has renewed my interest in sports games lately.
Is the My Player option similar to the Draft Combine option they have running on the 360? I was messing around with that and the demo yesterday and found it to be pretty cool. For $20 I would probably pick up the PC version.
Yeah, the My Player is (I'm told) almost identical to the 360 and PS3 versions. Draft combine isn't available on PC though. But basically you create a player, set his position, his stats, all his animations, clothes, etc. You start out in a summer circuit on a team, get graded on your performance and teamwork (it's a little spotty. Sometimes I won't even be near the ball, touch the wrong button and get a bad mark for a "bad steal attempt"), but other than that it works pretty well. You try to get picked up for an NBA team's training camp. You run drills, get points to upgrade your stats... all that good stuff.
So far I haven't gotten to play a game online... not because I don't want to. Hopefully they get that worked out soon though. There are a few minor problems, but overall I'd say it's definitely worth $20... probably a much better value than paying the $60 for the 360 version.
I picked it up as well. I'm using a 360 controller and unfortunately it only has icons like A B C D or button 1, etc. I managed to find 360 icons when I played NBA2k9, but I'm not seeing them available for 2k10. At least, they're not yet available.
Yeah that is annoying as well, I'm also using a 360 controller (just bought it for all my sports games). I heard there was a patch for 2k9, hopefully it comes out again.

Yeah. The controls are all messed up. You can't change around the controls on a 360 pad or you lose some functionality. I switched turbo and "intense-d" to the triggers and was unable to do isomotion moves that used both triggers pressed down. I'm finally getting used to icon passing with the mislabeled buttons. I hope they patch the PC version because it has so much potential.

Still playing My Player here and there myself, and never had one of the major bug where the file gets stuck and can't continue to 2nd season.
Won the championship with my Pacers the other day as my SG, and played about 25 games into season 2.
I have another C that plays for the Spurs and am probably 60 games through that season.
Kept waiting to start online association until after the patch, but now I'm wondering how much interest there will be. Judging by the last post in this topic, probably not much. But hey, just in case, I'd definitely be up for it.
I'm waiting for the patch, if it ever does end up coming. Sometimes I think Ronnie or whoever has the Twitter page is just postponing in hopes that PC players will forget. But I will be happy if we get it. I think I would start playing again with the patch. And if the servers ever work I wouldn't mind playing a few games with some goodjers.
This is only for DVD purchasers in the US/Canada I think.

Still nothing from Steam, D2D, etc. I think GG jumped the gun and messed it up for everyone but at least 2k followed up with their own patch late last night for us retail people.
Haven't tested much yet, but some my player stuff is definitely fixed. Think I'll be playing in and around the NCAA games today if I can tear myself away.
