Shameless showing off - I made a Lego Batman cake for Elysium 2.0!

I know this is just patting myself on the back, but I put hours of work into something that is going to be devoured by a horde of kindergarteners in about 12 hours, and I want to show off my handiwork.
Behold - Lego Batman - The Cake!
Thanks for indulging me. I'm just so pleased with how it turned out (except for the bulginess of the sides of the actual cake, but I was more focused on the figures on top!). Elysium 2.0 is going to go bananas when he sees it in the morning!

Question: Did you use modeling chocolate or fondant for the characters? (I've been doing modeling in fondant, but I hate how inedible they turn out once they harden...been thinking about switching to chocolate.) That said; nothing I've modeled is as cool as those Lego men.
