Dark Blue is mostly just another cop show, but it does differ in that it focuses entirely on undercover stuff. It doesn't do all the procedural murder mystery of the week stuff that's so popular. So of course, I like it much better than all those other cop shows. This means it probably won't get more than one season.
Leverage is back on and still fun, though it got to a slowish start. The most recent episode was a lot of fun though, and felt like a return to form.
Weeds is still awesome.
I'm still watching Warehouse 13 but don't know why. I'll probably drop it the moment some of the other shows I like come back. I'm looking forward to Fringe, Big Bang Theory, Castle, Lie to Me, The Mentalist... all but Castle come back in the next month and a half. I know Castle got renewed, but other than "October" haven't heard when it comes back.
I watched Bones and Dollhouse last year, but Bones jumped the shark and Dollhouse was only good for two episodes of the entire first season. Both will probably get nothing more than passing glances from me if they should air the same time as any of the other shows I actually care about.
I was looking forward to the third season of Chuck, but they've come out and said it won't be airing until March of next year.

I'm actually pretty interested in 'Flash Forward', although initially I was a little leery. I read the book by Robert J. Sawyer and really enjoyed it, but I wasn't sure how they could use the concept and transition it to a weekly TV show. Essentially, everyone on the planet blacks out for around two minutes and see 21 years into their own future. Some people like what they see, some don't and some see nothing at all. With that in mind, I couldn't really see how you could adapt this to a TV show, but the lead writer on the series (David Goyer) said that he planned out a 5 season story arch, which I find encouraging.

They managed to jump said aquatic creature twice. Stewie was the first time. The season finale and it's ending was the second. Truly some of the worst TV I've subjected myself to.

He was in a recent episode of Leverage as well.
That was supposed to be an edit, not a new post. That's twice I've done that recently. My three second attention span appears to be getting even shorter.

Wow I am totally disagreeing with you, well the season finale wasn't that good but it's wasn't jumping the shark, I still think bones is one of the better shows on tv.

It was a dream episode that ended with a main character having amnesia. Badly. Written. Garbage.

What are you talking about, dream episodes and amnesia plot devices are the bread and butter of quality american series!
How I met your mother starts soon! My gut feeling is that show has at least one, and maybe one and a half really good seasons left in it.

I kind of want to see TRAUMA, even though I know it will be Third Watch / E.R. again. But I'm a sucker for John Wells' medical dramas. At least the first couple episodes

My wife and I caught Bones for the first time during the season lull. We've caught up on everything Seasons 1 - 3 with probably a smattering of Season 4. We're all really looking forward to seeing all of Season 4 and the new Season 5 though. Bring it on. Tempe don't ever change!!!! My kids enjoy Bones too, but my wife and kids in particular are looking forward to the Second Season of Clone Wars: The Rise of the Bounty Hunters starting in October.
The worst Bones Episode for me so far was the Funeral Home one, where one of their co-workers has died. I can overlook it because I still enjoy the characters, but that felt out of place.
I'm not disagreeing that it was a pretty bad episode but that doesn't mean that anything after the episode will be bad, I have high hopes for the show and one bad episodes not gonna change that but we will see what this next season brings.

I've not heard of this "Dark Blue" series at all- is it related to Warren Ellis' warped cop comic Dark Blue, or did they just lift the title?

It's always on after Leverage (I love that show). I'm looking forward to Bones as well. I knew what it was going in. Besides, David Boreanaz, when not brooding, has always been entertaining television.

I recently discovered that Mad Men Season 3 is available through Comcast's OnDemand service. I haven't seen the other seasons, but I've been enjoying this one. Also, I'm hopelessly addicted to Project Runway 6 on Lifetime.
The only series that really seem appealing on network television this season are Flash Forward, Dollhouse, and Survivor: Samoa.

Sons of Anarchy premieres tonight and I thought I take the opportunity to pimp an old friend's band. My roommate from college is the drummer for Lions, who cover Bob Dylan's "Girl From the North Country" in the show tonight.

I'm watching Warehouse 13 now, as well as Entourage. There is so much I'll be following this fall, and all of it starts in a few weeks: How I Met Your Mother, The Big Bang Theory, Fringe, Dollhouse, Dexter, Defying Gravity and a few more.
I'm not gonne get a whole lot of studying done, am I?

I'm looking forward to a few of the new shows, like V, Flash Forward, and Stargate Universe. I liked the original V mini series, so I'm really curious to see how they update that. The Flash Forward previews all look interesting, but they could easily go either way. SGU is probably the one I'm least sure of, I've been a Stargate fan for a long time, but a lot of news coming out of SGU just hasn't been that promising.
Returning shows I'm looking forward too: How I met Your Mother, The Big Bang Theory, Castle, and 30 Rock. Looks like a lot of the other shows I watch are coming back in the Spring.
I was watching Dollhouse last year, but I don't think I'm going to continue with that one.

Cool. I just hope the ratings get better. It was definitely a show that was borderline when they were thinking about what to cancel and what to keep.

Not a big fan of Bones but I really liked the first season of Fringe. Felt like all the GOOD X-Files episodes (i.e the ones with monsters and weird stuff and people going splat) compiled together

I still like Weeds a lot, but I feel like its taken a turn for the worse ever since they moved to the beach. Before, the characters were flawed but loveable - now, they all seem useless and pathetic. Nancy, who started off as a go-getter willing to do what it took to raise her family, basically doesn't give a crap about them anymore and just gets herself hopelessly stuck and dependent on others. Doug and Celia are just sad. Shane's gone crazy, and even Andy, who looked for a while to have his crap relatively together, has lost it. Right now Silas seems like the only half-useful main character.

It's true the new season hasn't been on par with the previous ones, but it's still more than funny enough to justify watching it.
I just finished the first season of Californication. Anybody know if that show stays as funny later on as it was at the start? I laughed a hell of a lot making my way through that first season.

As much as I whine about Terminator getting the axe instead of that insipid Dollhouse (that I watched every week), the shows I enjoyed last season faired pretty well. Life was canceled, but as much as I loved the show, they at least wrapped it up and it felt like they had told their story.
But Fringe, The Mentalist, Lie To Me and Castle were all fine new shows, and came back. Criminal Minds, House and Bones were solid shows that we watched each week, and are coming back as well. I have a strange lack of interest in new shows, because there is enough on my plate coming back that I don't need to add to it.
I did watch the pilot of Glee, and that will be a weekly show I watch with my daughter. It's actually pretty well done, and she is a pretty committed band nerd now, as well as a big fan of So You think You Can Dance, so it hits her sweet spot perfectly. While I don't make time for SYTYCD, I have to admit that it does rank with Survivor as one really well produced reality show that deserves the audience it gets. We should all have a Cat Deeley at home.

Not sure I cared for the new Bones, they kind of focused on the B/B relationship pretty heavily, but then kind of danced around moving it in amy real direction.
