I watched the live show so I just skipped to the musical segments. I wish you guys had also recorded Elysium's rendition of White Wedding. Sounded intriguing.

I found a link to download the demo version of the PC version of History of the World:
http://download.cnet.com/History-of-the-World-demo/3000-7562_4-10009865....

No idea if this still works on XP+ machines. I know I had the full version at one point, need to trawl through my archives...

Oh, and for those that didn't quite get the 'Wild boars, Wild boars' thing:

Holy cow! I won! I was doing dishes while listening to the podcast, and I started hopping up and down when I heard you read my limerick.
Maybe now I'll have to start posting occasionally, instead of always lurking.

I am pleased that at least one of my awesome/drunken vocal guitar solos made it to the final version. Cory may be able to sing, but I can doo-doo-doo with the best of them.

FWIW -- this is a bit fat on the vermouth. I make them sweet for Certis, because he's testosterone challenged. I actually make these closer to 2:1 and you have to use Noilly Pratt vermouth, as Rossi is WAY too cloying. Also, note that this is a "Julia Child" version. She famously inverted the classic Martini - 2 to 2.5 vermouth to 1 of gin. I make these basically the same way (as a Manhattan is essentially a blended whisky martini).

If someone's really nervous abotu "real" cocktails, I make a 3:1 as their first, on ice. The ice cuts it even more. After that, they're on the dark side forever.

Kind of a shame that you guys had such a rough time with the Balance Board implementation of Punch-Out. I unfortunately just left my balance board up at CabinCon (see my reply to the other thread ) this last weekend, but prior to that I had played through the Minor Circuit and the first two fights of the Major Circuit using the balance board, and I never had a problem. It never felt like it was making me lean the wrong way, and while I did sometimes over-correct and then immediately lean the other direction again when I straightened out, I always felt like that was my fault.

It does require you to stand very straight and still until you want to dodge, which is counterintuitive for a game that you want to keep moving to, but if it was literally doing the reverse of what you intended it to do, that seems like something's wrong and doesn't mirror my experience at all.

Still glad you like it on the whole, though. It's a great game. Back to listening.

It's so good, we would almost certainly be sued. If you think about it, it's the only explanation.

I've listened to you do the air guitar doo-doo-doos five times this morning. It gets better every time.

Didn't we record you doing Rush? You were born to mimic synthesizers in prog rock.

Katerin that was cracking me up because I'm infamous for doing the same thing in Rock Band, doing the "doo-doo-doo" stuff during parts of the songs, especially anything Journey

I usually get stuff thrown at me for it though

Am I the only who thinks Certis giving out drink recipes sounds like getting it from your kid brother?

I was at a game store yesterday in Puyallup. (15-20 mi south of seattle) Because of the podcast I wanted to see what this battlestar Galactica game was all about. The guy at the counter was bamboozled when I asked about it. He said "We have had that game sitting on a shelf for a year now and nobody has touched it. Now in the last week, your the 5th or 6th person to come in asking about it!" Coincidence?... I think not!

I believe that you gentlemen may truly be influencing the consumer trends of a vast, and mostly broke, gaming audience. Use your powers wisely my friends

P.S. I picked up Dominion and Munchkin instead. The later of which is hilarious.

Keep up the good work GwJ,
Postmann88

Battlestar Galactica is not for the faint of heart or the new gamer, as there are some pretty fundamental problems with the game (e.g., repetitive Skill cards, the fact that getting stuck in the brig essentially prevents players from contributing to the gameplay, etc.). But man, was it worth it.

I must say that I really enjoyed the RockBand session. Once I started hearing "doo doo doo" I pretty much fell over laughing.

BTW, is the after hours section going to be uploaded at all? Or was that strictly for the live show?

It's ranked 19th on Board Game Geek. Should this be expected to drop after its been out longer?
